NFL fines Martin 5 G's for hit on Boss

We should start a fund just for those kinda hits on the huddle. I would love to see him hit people like that every week. He cant help the guy is made of glass. I would gladly pay money each week to let people know they aint coming clean in the middle of the field and not paying for it. Good job Martin!

Sounds good to me. I'm going to start my own charity donation to my local SPCA- $20 for each snot-bubbling hit administered by a Carolina Panthers player. I just need some sort of criteria and a second confirming opinion...

I think the only reason he was fined was because someone from the Giants team said something about it. What the officiating crew has decided is that there will no longer be thin lines between clean hits and dirty ones. Just like holding penalties or challenges that can go either way.

Which is complete and utter bullshit. I don't understand how playing football can cost you money. It's a physical sport, people are going to get hurt, they know what they're getting themselves into. I hate Goodell and I hope he's eventually out the door before too long. If I were in charge, players would have to wear the old school helmets (you know, the ones that don't protect them against concussions and such) and there wouldn't be a such thing as a dirty hit... unless it's like stepping on another players face or something, which is then ruled as unsportsmanlike conduct.

So if <insert Giants player here> had done the same to Barnidge or Rosario, and the league fined the guy, would you all say it was BS? I love how people side with their own team in almost every situation. I think the one time most of us sided against a Panther hit was Dante Wesley's. And even then some guys here thought it was clean haha. :)

Yes I would...it was a legal and good football hit, no matter which team it happened to or on.

So, Charly Martin will fine himself 5k for knocking himself out? Or Jordan Gross 5k for getting Moore concussed? How is it in the Little League WS, they take 30 seconds on a review and get it right, but the NFL waits 5 days to hand down fines? Do away with replay and if it's not a penalty, then its not a fine.
