Yeah, if its a small time business, I will let them know of the mistake. But Walmart...nah. lol.

I mean, if its cash, that's one thing. If they give me back 10 bucks extra in change, I will let them have it back. But if the employee messes it up and the computer reads a cheaper price, to hell with it. Why question it? Unless they're absolutely nice and you just feel bad for them. If they look like MOST (no offense to any possible Walmart employees...) Walmart cashiers...hell no.

Personally I'd go back in, but we recently had a unexpected experiment that showed how most would respond.

When someone receives a damaged or defective out of the box product, we will pick it up and either replace it, or send them a new one. Well, due to a short term glitch a little while ago, we had a situation where customers were actually getting a replacement product AND their money back.

It was fixed rather quickly, but not before we had a sizable number of people who got a product and a full refund. Not break the bank sizable, but enough to where you got a fair sampling. Understand our average order value is somewhere around $500, so it's not something that you'd just over look.

About 5% or less of our customers called in and let us know that we'd been a little too overgenerous.
