We dont really need Gamble against Tampa bay. They probably to need to sit him out, so he can get healthy for the Bengals in week 3.

Carolina shut down the Giants ground attack.....then NY went to the air and tore the weak play of the secondary apart. Then that opened up the run.

Tampa would be foolish not to attack Godfrey's assignments and the secondary with a healthy Gamble. Take him out and it makes the obvious gameplan for them more obvious.

chris gamble got beat so bad on two passes by eli. He was looking at the QB and Nicks or someone eloquently took a few side steps and managed to create 5 yards of separation in about 2 seconds. I felt bad for Gamble. I'm not a football whiz, but he got raped on that play and there was another I can't remember.

He looked like a novice out there to me.

2 of there biggest pass plays in that game were simply coverage errors by Godfrey. Pass rush wasn't great.....that still didn't effect Gofrey twice not handling his assignment of providing coverage over the top.

Any coach that watches tape on Carolina has to know Godfrey's area is a weak spot. A weak spot in coverage in that area results in huge plays for opponents.

I suppose lack of dline pressure is to blame for the other 18 passes Manning completed.
