Moore went 4-2 last year. I will give him a bad game. Our team isnt built around the QB. As long as he doesnt throw INT or fumble the ball we will win. Our Defense and running game is our bread and butter.

Freeman looked like a lump of poo for most of 2009 and your implication that Matt Moore somehow has less potential or will be worse in some way when his career numbers are actually quite similar if not better is making my eyes bleed. As someone else noted at least Moore is still on the right side of the turnover differential.

If a QB doesn't have a bad game in the NFL, he isn't playing. No matter what, if you start in the NFL for any number of games, you will have a bad game. It depends on how you follow up with your next game. Last year, Jake didn't come back with good games like he had in the past. We (Panther Nation) are wanting to see how Moore responds this week.

Our franchise is a LOT closer than TB is. We are the youngest team in the NFL and have more Pro Bowl talented potential than you do.

ya except for 2009 we stumbled into the playoffs..lol...yet we went to the nfc championship games both times. Really if you were a Saints or a Falcons fan you might have more room to talk but you are a tampa fan with nothing more than a Superbowl win thanks in part to Jon Gruden and a stingy Defense. 12-4 is stumbling into the playoffs? Granted we got owned by Arizona but our running game was unstoppable that year. Captain Munerlyn is pretty good and Marshall not bad at all. Our Secondary is the weakest part of the defense but thats always been the case here.

We are missing a #2 WR but we did go to the NFC Championship game in 2005 with the same problem.

Moore had 1 bad game like I said I am willing to give him some more games since he did go 4-2 last year.

Do I think we will go to the playoffs this year. To early to say come back to me when we play The Bucs again.

Here's what Freeman had to deal with last year:

Drafted in April 2009

Got virtually no first team reps in training camp due to QB battle between Leftwich/McCown.

Leftwich got starting nod, McCown traded.

Offensive coordinator fired before Week One of regular season because he was lazy.

New Offensive coordinator brought in with new system.

Leftwich canned after handful of games.

Josh Johnson started so Freeman could absorb more of the playbook.

Johnson sucks it up, and Freeman brought in.

With limited starting reps he wins the only 3 games of the season.

And the picks were bound to happen. Have you ever seen stats for rookie quarterbacks? They're always terrible at first unless you're Dan Marino.

Freeman weathered a regime change and coordinator change, but still came out on opening day and passed for over 50% and two tds.

And i'm not making any stupid comments about kissing cousins or any of that bullcrap, so don't pin that on me. Let's talk football.
