Why 2010 Means Nothing to the Carolina Panthers (no smack)

Furthermore, the front office clearly tried to help out Moore by picking up three receivers in the draft. You can make the argument that there were better receivers to be had (and many Panthers fans do), but it would be ignorant to assume that the Panthers haven't at least tried to address the passing game and bring some help to Moore.

How can you give Freeman a couple years to prove himself, but you're so quick to write off Moore who has started what, nine games in this league?

I hate to tell you, but just "investing in" a player does not make them a franchise quarterback. The Raiders invested quite a bit in JaMarcus Russell. How'd that work out for them?

Part of that equation is how well they do once the training wheels come off. Both Freeman and Moore still have their training wheels fully on. The biggest difference is Freeman is looked as a future starting qb. For Carolina, its not even Moore they are looking at, its Clausen. We see Freeman as the guy who is expected to carry this team and grow with the team. Moore may never really get his chance. Freeman is going to start for us this year and next at the minimum. He will get his full opportunity to show if he has it or not. Bucs gave him as many weapons as they could to give him a chance. What has Carolina done to prepare Moore for being the starting qb?

Here's Tampa is a nutshell: We're going in a new direction. I'm not expecting playoffs. My prediction is the two wild cards in the playoffs this year are coming from the NFC North and the NFC East. No one in this division is good enough right now to take on the Saints. Period.

I'm coming in here to say, it's going to be an even playing field this year. Tampa has direction and they're hungry. This Sunday is going to be fun to watch because neither team comes in with the upper hand.

All I'm saying next year, is better hope and pray when Fox leaves in his U-Haul they get someone to fill it that will do something. Carolina won't pay Fox the money he wants. Raheem took his lumps last year, but now has direction. And at the very least, we can keep him on as Defensive Coordinator because he's pretty damn good at it.

I loved ruffling some feathers, or fur or whatever mascot related covering i can get into.

It was fun to watch some of ya squirm...

GO BUCS!

It's not about what Carolina's done -- it's about what Moore has done.

He went 4-1 last year and beat some pretty good teams. As I said, Carolina at least attempted to bring in some help at the receiver position.

But it's not just about the receivers. Our running backs are of more help to Moore than any of our receivers.

Am I the only one that was under the impression that all buc fans vanished from the face of the earth after the beating Deangelo and Stewart put on thier team in 2008?

Never would have guessed a fluke win against the browns would bring them back.

Welcome back buc fans!

STILL?

Why are you guys wasting your time arguing? You're not going to change their minds. They aren't going to change yours. You all sound like a bunch of bickering old women. Let the trolls find someone else to bother.

Just a reminder this was originally in Smack and MOD Squirrel moved it in here. Evidently he's smarter than the rest of you, because he can see your franchise is just as crappy as Tampa's is.

And Raheem has spent virtually his entire professional career in Tampa. It wouldn't surprise me. There's a commitment to this defense and he's doing it proper right now. That's the only reason it could be a possibility he could be kept around if things keep heading south.
