Vick to start Week 2

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb didn't pass the second phase of concussion testing Wednesday, so backup Michael Vick will start this weekend against the Detroit Lions, a league source told NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi.

The Philadelphia Inquirer also reported Thursday morning that Vick will start.

It will be Vick's first start in 45 months. The last time he started a game was on Dec. 31, 2006, with the Atlanta Falcons.

In related news, Vick was named the "most hated athlete" this week by a CNBC.com report. 3 years after his dog fighting trial, and over a year since he's been released from prison. He was followed by Tiger Woods, TO, Ocho Cinco, Kobe, & LeBron. All young, all black, all rich, all successful.

I will be pulling for Vick...was not a big fan of his before the "mess" and was less of one after but I am a fan of second chances. Plus it helps he is an Eagle and on my team so I hope he does well.
