You missed Nirvana....but I wont hold it against you....

Nirvana...I think they were far more popular than they should have been if we are just looking at their music. The fact is their image represented something more than just their music...so I will refrain making any statements about Nirvana.

Kurt Cobain never thought he'd be the symbol he became...it was too much for him.

You lost all credibility when you put clone temple pilots over nirvana...

lol

Eh, its all personal preference. I like both the bands. Musically, Nirvana was more talented. Its just STP jacks me up whereas most of Nirvana's stuff is just depressing. Long live the drug-induced Scott Weiland jitter-walk!

Superunkown was definitely a step down from Badmotorfinger in so many ways.

You can't even begin to compare any STP albums to Core. Bunch of teeny bopper fluff.

Yeah, I've never understood what happened to STP after Core... they've made some good music here and there, but all of Core is GREAT. Their latest album is not good.

They are, however, still one of my favorite bands.

I used to hate nirvana... mostly because their "true" fans are some of the fuging dumbest most pretentious hypocritical assholes I've ever met. They'll rip on hair metal bands and call them gay or fags or whatever when Kurt was one of the most effeminate frontmen in the history of rock. And then they'll bring up poo that happened before most of them were even born like hating pearl jam because Kurt didn't like their music, and they treat him like some kind of martyr, like he saved rock music. He didn't. Grunge didn't save it either, when we're talking about a grander scale. Since Guns N' Roses pretty much imploded in the mid 90s rock as been on a consistent decline.

Though i will say after listening to both nevermind and in utero, they've got a great sound. Dave Grohl is a talented drummer and some of those punkish riffs on the deep cuts on in utero are brilliant.

The most talented musician in Nirvana was....Dale Crover.

Pearl Jam only had one good album, like Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine and STP.

AIC had two good albums at least.

So wrong about Pearl Jam. They've had 1-2 weak albums, but had some really great ones. Ten, Vs, Pearl Jam, all those albums were amazing, the rest were good, and the worst was probably Binaural (spelling?).
