Man I gotta say...Creed was really good.

I really don't understand how people cannot like the Beatles. Please tell me why you do not like them. This was a group that I was raised listening to, so I realize that I am biased. But, I would really like to know.

They just don't seem to have much of an edge or attitude to them. Honestly I've never tried to get into the Beatles, I just haven't cared for singles I've heard playing.

Let It Be is good ( I like religious sounding lyrics ) and Free Bird is fine. Maybe someday I will like the Beatles.

I didn't like the Beatles growing up either... sounded too passive, boring etc. Then life dropped a poo ton of bricks on me a couple of times, and then the lyrics started to make sense. Really, the best way to understand them is to pay attention to the lyrics, and after living some, you'll get what they're trying to say.

Not trying to be an ass or anything, but I had to experience some of the things they were talking about to fully appreciate and understand their stance in the music.

Oh, and if you like the Beatles, you might wanna check out a decent movie that covers a lot of good songs. I know you hate covers Boo... but try out "Across the Universe", I really enjoyed it, and the singers do a decent job of it. Even has Joe Cocker in there sining Come Together.. talk about a classic musician, lol.

Creed's first album is the ONLY respectable thing they did. Even then, Stapp is just a Vedder rip off. The BAND is good though. Alter Bridge is a much better band than Creed ever was and their singer is way better than Stapp is, they just aren't as commercial as Creed so you probably haven't heard of that band.

Personally, I think Pearl Jam is maybe the best band of the last 20 years. They started off completely grunge but then changed into their own sound like great bands do. I love their new albums for what they are, they aren't commercial really and they have some deep songs.

Chris Cornell still has the best rock voice right now, it's perfect.

And Led Zepplein is great, but people need to realize they stole a good deal of their ideas from blues artists and whatnot, but did change them up to sound more rock and all of that, doesn't change the fact they were great.

Beatles got real good when they stopped caring what people though and wrote good stuff (the later years).

Everyone will always sound like things previously, there is nothing you can do about that. ALL metal has taken things from Black Sabbath, because they basically invented metal. So saying bands like Metallica, Pantera, etc, are terrible is insane, but some are saying that cause they take a lot of Sabbath's elements.

haha yeah I saw it right when it came out. Ive seen it a couple times. Its alright, granted the covers kinda suck, but I love how they tie everything in, like everyone's name is a Beatles song.

Joe Cocker= Amazing. Would love to see him in concert. Pretty sure he is the one coming with Tom Petty

I think it's because of the simplicity of the music. When compared to rock bands now the Beatles just don't seem very talented. I can appreciate the music for the time period it came from' date=' but I would much rather listen to more complex in depth songs....[/quote']

I definitely think they are in depth if you listen to the lyrics of some of them, granted they have a billion songs so its hard to get to listen to every single one of them. They also pretty much started the whole rock n roll girls screaming and freaking out phase.

I respect that people don't like them, its just very rare that I find someone who doesn't. Or maybe Im just hanging out with a lot of people who share that common interest in music.

Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band is hands down one of the best albums I have ever listened to.

I like the early AND older stuff. Its so cool to listen to their music and see how they progressed.

Hard Days Night and Rubber Soul are so classic and laid back and then you get into Yellow Submarine and Sgt Peppers and it all goes psychedelic and crazy. I love it!

Oh Geez. I am shaking my head. You need a lesson in music.

Free Bird is NOT The Beatles, that would be Lynyrd Skynyrd. Totally different genre of rock and totally different generations of music. The Beatles helped lead into bands like Skynyrd, but they are southern rock. Maybe you were thinking of Black Bird?
