You bunch of whiners. I was one of the biggest Jake haters on this board but my hate for Jake didnt start after he played 6 games. It wasnt until I saw him make the same mistakes over and over and over and not learning. We have to give Moore a chance he has earned it and if he doesnt learn from his mistakes in 3-5 games then yes he should be pulled.

Matt Moore might be Carolina’s starting quarterback the next seven seasons the way Jake Delhomme was the past seven. Or he might not be. We don’t know.

I’ve been writing since Mooremania began last December that I don’t know. I don’t think the Panthers know. Even though Philadelphia traded Donovan McNabb, I don’t think they know if Kevin Kolb (who like Moore suffered a concussion four days ago) is their quarterback.

Last season almost every Panthers fan loved Moore. You loved him for many reasons, the foremost of which was that he did not have a Cajun accent. Moore started five games, won four and had a sparkling quarterback rating of 98.5.

He did say a lot of them are bandwagon, which is true, but most of our fans are fairweather in my opinion. They could care less about our team, but the second we start winning, all of the sudden they were "there all along" and "knew this team was going somewhere"

After the game Sunday, my friend here in Charlotte told me he would be watching the Chargers from now on this season. Needless to say, there was a VERY heated conversation which followed that comment which ended in him telling me he was going this weekend anyways (after he blatantly admitted he was going to jump on the chargers bandwagon) and me telling him we didn't want him there because only real fans are allowed in the stadium and giving up on your team after 1 game is utterly unacceptable if you are a fan.

you back one guy on the team until he looks like crap and then say he looks like crap and wanting/expecting to see something better is fickle? it's being a bad fan? bunch of judgemental pricks.

i read the crap article form sorenson or whoever it was at the charrlotte observer calling out fickle fans and it bugged me as much as this.

i don't have any loyalty to any one player. its th team that i am loyal to. a player has my belief that he can do the job until it looks like he can't. i have yet to see anything so far that would lead me to believe that moore is what we saw in the past. the decision making was poor. three INTs in the redzone? what a bunch of crap.

for sure blame goes to the coaching staff and oline for that fiasco. blame could go to the WRs but they aren't the one responsible for having them put on the field in the first place or the decision to throw to them in the endzone when we should have been doing what we do best. it was moore's decision to throw it into that coverage. it was moore's decision to not throw it away. last year he would have. not sure what changed but from the way it looks, he is playing differently than he did.

people will say that he has looked better than anyone in practice but since when does he practice well? he went from someone who doesn't practice well but plays well when in the game to someone who practices well but gives an inferior product when in the game.

until he shows that he can do better, the burden is going to be on him to prove he can. no way should he be given the kind of leniency that jake did. jake shouldnt have been given that either. you prove what you are capable of by what you do on the field now. not last year, not in 2003 and 2004 (like with jake).

if he can't get it together in the next few weeks then lets give the next guy a shot.

moore doesn't look like he can handle the pressure. the coaching staff has too much faith in him right now and is putting too much of the game on his shoulders.

just one game and i hope that the level of suck is confined to just one game but until they show it isn't, consider me skeptical. if that means that i am fickle...suck it.

i want the panthers to be the best with the best players on the field possible. i won't want to settle for mediocrity (which would actually be an upgrade from what we saw on sunday).

giving up on one player is not giving up on yur team. expecting more from your team than they are offering is not giving up on your team. accepting the crap they leave on the field does not make you a true fan. it just means that you are ok with an under-performing team and that is much sadder than any "fickle fan" could ever be.

He actually pisses me off pretty frequently. But I love him to death as my friend and I also love that he always says some negative stuff about the Panthers which always ends up in me yelling at him and us debating and him trying to think he is right and me knowing that I am right . Love someone that I can debate about football with, even if they don't have faith in our team.

The thing that pissed me off the most is he is a die hard State fan, and I said to him, would you completely abandon State if they miserably lost their first game of the season? NOOOOO.

he hasn't done anything so far this season to show that he is playing like he did last year...and yes, i'm looking at preseason as well. what we saw on sunday wasn't much better than we saw before sunday.

he could get things straight for sure and that game was uncharacteristic of what we have seen in the past, but imo, he hasn't done anything to deserve a pass on that crap he slung on the field on sunday either. giving him until the bye week would be more than generous. like i said, it's on him to show that he can turn the lemons that he was given as far as receivers and playcalling into lemon-aid. i'm not going to let my man-love for him in the past cloud my vision. he has done nothing yet to deserve my turning a blind eye. the fact that he is playing the bucs this week likely won't do much to impress me. if he does well he should have because it's the bucs. if he doesn't do well against them then the leash should be even shorter.

My problem is, I'm not sure if I like Moore or not. I'm kind of on the fence for him. He hasn't convinced me that he is going to be a good QB or a bad one. Now I've had time to think about it, I think he should start the next few games. If he stinks it up in all of them, give Clausen a try.
