#10 is always hard and I don't regret being there for mine.

What hurts me are the little ones that die for some stupid reason or the lost ones or hit & run victims you see on the sides of roads. That makes my heart hurt to see a pet who dies like that.

my fiance and i have a beagle with epilepsy... every time he has a seizure, it breaks your heart. when we have to put him down (hopefully not for a long, loooooooooong time), it's going to be rough. he's a good pup

Today is my dog's birthday (he's 2). He already had two treats and some roast beef scraps this morning, but after reading that he gets more treats and an extra-long walk tonite.

The little newborn kitten that was in my car didn't make it. Tore apart my whole front end to get to him. My mom was on kitten duty when he died. She held him in her lap until he was gone.

Number nine especially hits home with me. I see so many jackasses bringing in dogs to the shelter just because they have gotten old. They just dump em off like an old car battery. Hell, old dogs are the best thing in the world. And cats, too.

Same here. Sometimes I think we forget that we are our pet's world. They should be more than an afterthought in ours.

My dog's only about a year and a half old, but I dread the day I have to put her down.

My dog and I share the same birthday. We're getting drunk together as soon as she's three-years old.
