Is quarterback Jimmy Clausen ready to lead Carolina Panthers?

doesnt matter. just b/c your a rookie doesnt qualify you to play poorly or not "be rdy" for NFL stardom. You know never know, he could be the next Matt Ryan, or the next big bust. Either way everybody is talking out of their a$$ until they can back it up with play on the field.

P.S. im not picking a side. I'm just saying....

In game experience could only help a player who is touted as being pro ready. He's a rookie but if our starting QB continues to PLAY like a rookie what's the point of sitting him for any longer.

We just want to see what we got in Clausen obviously after years of seeing sub par QB play. A highly touted drafted QB is going to want to be seen by fans. Especially when the starter is not handling the pressure well. Should be interesting to watch Sunday if Moore starts and how he performs.

how do you know Jimmy Clausen is not ready for the NFL when he hasnt played 1 NFL game from start to finish in the regular season. Everybody is speculating until you actually see results on the field.

... If you can't drop back 3 steps and get rid of the ball it really doesnt matter who plays QB, he'll just end up like Moore, concussed.

After last weeks play calling fiasco(and if Jimmy does indeed start) I don't see us getting behind vs the Bucs to the point to where we are abandoning the running game completely like last week. That alone will help him immensely.

Steve Smith.

What weapons do you have on offense, period? Mister 5-pick Man? Cadillac's rebuilt knee? An unproven rookie WR?

Wow.... Steve Smith? That's it? That's the only answer you're going to give me? Damn it sounds like we are in for an easy day if all we have to do is cover just one player.

Smith is going to be double teamed all day, stop fooling yourself. Talib (aka one of the best young DBs in the NFL) is back from his suspension. Your WR thread is also known as the "FML thread" by the looks of it. So what other options are there? And your QB options are either Moore or Clausen. If your run game shuts down then I wouldn't toot my horn too loud buddy. You guys have sucked offensively since preseason (more so than almost any other team) and have shown little signs that you are getting any better.

Turns out Williams ran the ball only 16 times last game. So I'm guessing you all expect to win when your coach gives up on the run game and tries to throw to Smith?

What is there to prove about Mike Williams? Please.. kindly elaborate as to what he has to prove after hitting the highlight reel after his first game? Using "4th round pick" holds no water when arguing a player's performance or abilities. One game doesn't make a career, but what he has proven so far (including preseason) is that he is every bit as effective as any player out there and that one day he will be a massive game changer. Who's to say Benn doesn't break out against you guys if Williams is canceled out? Freeman already made his mistakes against your defense last year, so it comes to his advantage. Maybe he makes his mistakes again, I wouldn't be surprised. But I wouldn't be surprised if he hooks up for a few big plays and makes you look foolish. As for the rebuilt knee bit, Cadillac was running fine last time I saw him, in fact he looked the best I've seen him in years. On these notes: how the hell do you plan to stop any of this when your best defensive player left for Chicago?

This is a battle between two very poor football teams. One has made improvement in all of its biggest areas of struggle from last season while the other lost its QB and most storied defensive player in franchise history.
