Hahaha Jerry, you're facing a potential blackout on Sunday

If we have another bad year this year, I fully expect that Arizona game late in the season to be blacked out if they suck too. Or, if not blacked out, then the team is going to have to buy back a helluva lot of tickets.

So where is your new sig?

I can def see where some fans and players feel this way. But in all reality, if we did bring in housh or boldin, who would throw to them? yeah moore hopefully can be to form of last year, but the last thing this team needs is a bunch of whiny, expensive, receivers who complain about qb play. With an unknown at qb, who knows if we could keep a wr (besides smith and rooks) happy? Anyway, i can see where fans and players alike would be upset, but i feel that the FO has a larger plan in place. The panthers have been successful by building through the draft and developing players anyway. Thats how a small market teams builds loyalty and holds on to quality players. fwiw

if he is such a good owner and you are such a genius, why raise ticket prices why slashing costs???

no, he would, because seattle is still paying him his contract. like, he doesn't have a choice in it.

.

Yes he had a choice. He could have gone anywhere he wanted. He also could have negotiated with another team for his salary but the only thing that would have done was let Seattle off the hook for the guaranteed portion. The only way he would pocket more was if a team was going to pay him over 7 mill. Bottom line is he got to pick a contender. There was never even a rmote possibility that he would come here with a fist year starting QB and rookie back-ups.

1st of all i never said i was a genius, secondly, ticket prices went up as demand for them has. but then again, what do i know, im no genius.

How has the demand for tickets increased when the team has been releasing roughly the same number of tickets for sale to the general public for the last 7-8 years? The entire seating bowl is owned by PSL owners and the team holds roughly 2500 - 3000 tickets for sale each year. Where's the increased demand?

Meh ticket prices almost always go up. It's not indicative of the 'quality on display' more the rising demands of the players and the cap scenario. Sure we have a small roster salary at the moment, but we had to eat a lot of guaranteed money at the same time.

The roster age is meaningless in this argument. Do you honestly feel we have less 'talent' on the roster now than last year? We had more experience, but the potential of this team is astronomical. If it all pans out we have the QB, RB, WR, DL, LB positions sown up for the foreseeable future. Now I am not naive enough to think all will pan out, but there is no argument this roster now has talent and potential. Last year we were paying big bucks for average old, yet experienced players.

As for Fox? Well I will only believe it once I see it. Much like Hurney, I am not convinced these two are saying goodbye at the end of this season, obviously could be wrong. However mentoring this roster just speaks of his professionalism. Richardson obviously views him well enough to trust him to still work hard this season with limited experience on the roster. So far, whilst we havent won, there have been real good signs. Frankly I do not see the problem with that. If there was a lot of player unrest etc, then it would be bad, but for now we have just lost one game...

This season really is setting us up in the best possible way for the future.

i think its due to shi**y previous contracts...ftw

All Housh cares about is that ring, baby

hence his previous signing with Seat-WAIT A MINUTE
