No I didn't forget about Lafell and Ghettis, but Lafell dropped most of his passes and Ghettis isn't even active. Maybe they will develope, which is fine for the future, but we should've did more work in FA. Especially with the money we saved by dumping Pep. I would've loved to have gotten Boldin or that Zada guy.

I believe Lafell dropped one. But we all know the reason he was starting was becuase of his down field blocking ability. Not a damn receiver in the league will play for the panthers unless they can block down the field. All the complaining in the world won't change anything.

It will be a while before we know if AE was worth it.

As far as why we drafted him, we won't really know this either for a while.

So right now we just need to take this day to day.

I know what you mean I really wish we had taken Jordan Shippley as a WR. I think he will be great. It does seem that with moose retiring we really needed to pay alot of attention to WR to help out Smith. Being a panther fan is never easy.

The problem may not be the WR's, QB or OL fault, our routes seem to take forever to develop. And the QB is not allowed to throw underneath to a TE or RB, unless he has permission from Jeff (illegal hands to the face) Davidson. Boldin or any other top receiver would not fit in with our scheme, which I might add is an understatement!

We should have gotten Cooper (like I said all pre-draft). The guy was a force in the preseason and on our team would easily be #2.

I hate to say it but it's pretty clear to me that our decision to draft Armanti was as much a publicity stunt as anything.

They knew they were packing it in as far as FA while raising ticket prices during a recession in preparation for a lockout, so they figured drafting a hometown hero like Armanti would help offset some of that.

When has Hurney ever been willing to spend a 2nd round pick on a developmental prospect like Armanti... the answer is never. I don't have anything against Armanti and I think he could still DEVELOP into an asset both as a WR and KR/PR, but it is so far outside our M.O. to spend high draft picks on developmental prospects that I have to believe our primary motive was the automatic ticket sales, merchandise, etc we though Armanti would generate.
