anybody gotten a new cell phone lately?

I'm due for an upgrade and am thinking about getting a new phone. Currently have a palm pre and love it, the hardware and lack of apps are making it seem outdated.

I'm with sprint, and looks like the evo and samsung epic are the 2 best phones they have now.

Anybody have either one?

Then run, don't walk, to Verizon and get a Droid X.

If you stick with Sprint, the Evo is a good phone from what I hear and very similar to the X.

My personal choice would be the new Blackberry touch, but thats just because I've had blackberry for my last couple phones.

I've got a Palm Pre and love it. As for the lack of Apps, what are you looking for exactly?? If you can't find it in the App catalog, check out the homebrew stuff.

TMo is doing a bogo for the next month. I can't decide whether to go ahead and pick up 2 vibrants, or wait and check out the g2. The MTHD also comes out in the next couple of months. Decisions, decisions.

I keep asking myself if I'll even be able to figure out how to use a smartphone. I hate to have to ask Tyler for help every time I want to make a call.

Verizon did a BoGo a couple months ago for the Blackberry Bold.

But it only was BoGo if you had two accounts that were ready for upgrades.

I'm pretty sure that's the deal with tmo, too. My upgrade's been available since the beginning of summer. Ty's should be up now. No way in hell Chris is getting a smartphone; the man can't even text.
