I still think Matt Moore is our QB, but I haven't thought about this.

...But even if, say, Moore has to sit and Clausen plays well against Tampa Bay and the Panthers win (and if they can't beat the Bucs at home, they are in serious trouble), Moore should still start in Week 3 vs. Cincinnati. It's his job for now -- he wasn't impressive in preseason, no, but neither was Clausen (neither led a TD drive). And he was definitely the best QB in practice and the one the Panther players have the most confidence in at the moment.

I agree with him, but I would be tempted otherwise depending on his performance. Like if he threw for 4 TDs and 300yds (which isn't likely).

While what he says makes sense, and I agree its Matts' job to lose, if Clausen comes in and has an outstanding game regardless of who the opponent is, the cries for Matts' head will be unbearable! And not just from Panther fans, the media already loves this kid!

I also agree. Matt earned the right to start. Now if he has another bad game in his 2nd start it's debatable.

It's still Matt's job. He just has to take a better advantage of what's been given to him.

I agree. MM is the starter for now and he will be the starting QB for the Panthers unless he continues to throw 3 ints a game for the next 3 games. JC just needs to sit, learn and be ready. If after 4 games (and the offensive line play has improved) MM is still stinking it up, then I would probaly join the JC crowd. Give MM a chance, JC will get his.

ps.....I just get the feeling there are a lot of people (want-to-be scouts and GM's) hoping to be the first to say.......I told you so.
