Stadium Atmosphere

true. my favorite football memory is playing DE in a rain game during my little league years. it was a sloppy game in which i pushed the tackle all over the place, got a sack that forced a fumble that was taken for a td by the LB. on a monday night too since it rained all weekend, and the high school was trying to keep us from messing up the field. it got trashed.

Bank of America stadium and Jerry Richardson need to take note of what a good stadium atmosphere is. Watching the jets game last night I noted a couple of things. The first was that the jumbotrons were frequently giving the fans instruction. Saying quiet please when they were on offense and leading chants and asking for noise when on defense. Why can't ours do that? The other thing I noticed was noise makers. I heard a lot of air horns. I know JR has reason for not allowing them, but I don't agree with it. Biggest thing is I want Jerry to let me be what I consider a REAL football fan, and allow me to show kids(mine eventually) what being an intense fan is all about. Screw the family atmoshpere. I want a football atmosphere!!!

We do frequently give fans instructions on the message boards on the sides of the stadium.

You can be intense without being offensive ... or can't you?

It would certainly help if all our fans :

1. Show Up

2. Wear Black/Blue/White

3. RAISE H#LL!

Of course we all know that 1/4 of the stadium is wearing the other teams colors. ...Don't forget that no matter who we play, you have to have the 200- 300 idiots around the stadium wearing Cowboy jerseys.

I received club seats to the Minnesota game last year and there was a guy in the section in front of us that was beeing loud, standing during defense, and cussing Brett Favre. He was also wearing a Santa outfit. The one security guy asked him to leave. About 15 minutes later, Santa came back, and then about 6 security guys had him leave. BoA kicked Santa out. I wonder if someone tattled on him by texting that number?

haha I was in club seats for the Jets game and we were yelling down at the Jets fans in the 100s telling them their QB came to this country on a door, we didn't get yelled at by security.

BUT

They are pretty wack when it comes to that stuff. The people who tell me to sit down I seriously will not hesitate to tell them if they wanna sit and watch their team they can do it in their own living room. MY tickets so I do what I want bitches.

the most wack ass thing about our stadium- you can anonymously text security and get people thrown out without even a question. Which is good sometimes if you have someone who is way out of line, but that also gives ANYONE the ability to get you kicked out, even if you haven't done anything. That, IMO, is a little over the top. I mean its NFL football people, if you don't want your kids to hear it, don't bring them to the games. Its that simple.

i wouldn't be offensive to our own fans, and i don't think i implied offensive anyway.

this is what methods like the jets/chiefs were using last night would prevent. also steelers/ravens. our organization and fan base need to take note of what others do to make the opposing fans think twice before coming in. also, our fans would have more fun and be more likely to come to the game. look at how many psl seats aren't being sat in by psl holders. i've got 4 myself, and could have had 32 if i had the money. it's not just the money for some. its the quality of what is being paid for.

this makes me sad, and unfortunately it isn't the first time i've read a story like this. if people fight, smoke in the wrong area or pull out their genitals then kick them out. otherwise leave them alone.

I looked at their code of conduct, and it's pretty much the same as ours, including the text messaging option.

which team?

biggest thing for me is noise makers. second to that is a man should be able to go shirtless. it gets hot in the sun in september.

yea, but what passes for acceptable public behavior in new york is not the same thing as in charlotte.

and they make fun of southerners

seriously though. let people bring air horns, vuvuzelas and other noise makers and the fun factor is upped immediately.
