It would be nice for BoA to be known as a hostile environment for other teams to travel to.

Build a prison and they will come, eh? I LIKE IT! I think I might see how baadast they are in Philly next time I go see us play! I doan need no steenkin' pay persss!

anybody watching GT and UNC...their student section is what i'm talkin about. everyone in it is painted blue with their shirts off, and little tarheels, etc painted on top of that. even the girls are down to sports bras doing the same thing.

it doesn't matter how their team does today...they are havin fun, and have been all morning. their team will likely do better though with all the support behind them.

Nothing like the atmosphere of a college game--whether it be football or basketball. GO HEELS!

what percentage of unc attendance is from the carolinas? do the same for state, wake, ecu, app, etc. don't count duke though. their from jersey.

do those people cheer for the panthers?

Hmmm. Well I grew up in Durham--my Mom worked at Dook for 20 years--and I went to Carolina. But I haven't lived there in quite a few years.

When I was there, the state had a mandated in-state enrollment for UNC. I think it was 70% or something. Not sure if that applied to other state schools, but defintely wouldn't apply to Wake because it's private. Couldn't tell you how many of those were Panther fans, though.:P

Truth is it was hot as hell out there and little on the field to get excited about. Fans respond to what they see. If the Panthers are doing well they respond, if not they are only going to stay excited for so long. This isn't college and most folks there aren't under 30.

We really aren't used to the 4-12 seasons like some teams. We aren't resigned to losing like some teams. Makes our fans more angry and more likely to turn away and become fairweather.

I didn't have an issue with the heat but I saw 2 or 3 folks carried out due to heat exhaustion. Saw a lot more severely dehydrated. There was very little reason to jump up and down or make a lot of noise after halftime.

I hear ya and agree Panther55. I was there from start to finish and do not leave. I was also a bit dissappointed at the start of the game and 1st half with all the empties. That being said it was HOT HOT HOT out there and there was very little to cheer for all day. The worse part about the whole thing was I starting to get that feeling all day the implosion was about to happen and it kind of did

I will keep going and cheer. Despite how dismal it was I was still holding out hope they were going to somehow pull the game out of their A**.

I kept waiting for us to move the ball and score some points and it just didn't happen. Plus you really got the feeling that we couldn't contain them. Penalties, missed tackles, interceptions. We were inept most of the day.

By the fourth quarter I finally realized that we weren't going to come back especially with Moore at quarterback. That had to be the most disappointing thing about today.

Not only is Moore playing poorly, but I doubt he holds up physically. Clausen at least has more experience running around and avoiding the rush.

I fully believe that is how it should be.. I think this romanticism of a "real fan" showing support even when ownership puts a mediocre product on the field year in and year out isn't beneficial in the long term.. ownership's hand isn't forced to get better..
