What are you more upset about?

All of you who are bitching about the zone coverage. It was zone coverage the Cards were using to limit Steve Smith to ZERO catches (with the help of Jake being lame) for almost a full 3 quarters. The difference is execution. Learn it, or stop complaining about something you don't understand.

Oh that's awesome, were so glad it worked for THEM, were talking about us though.

Last time I checked the Cardinals weren't upset with their game plan.

The difference was Jake throwing into it vs Kurt throwing into it, you need learn that, because it's obvious that's the part you don't understand lol.

Not to mention it was a horrible plan, a horrible plan that everyone and their mother knows was a horrible plan.

No one is trying to take anything away from what the cards did. Even us(the fans) knew what Arizona was going to do and what they were capable of and they did it. Its the panthers that did not do what was expected. The soft coverage called in that game destroyed us( like it has all season). They called nothing to legitimately stop fitz. Offensively if they didn't abandon the run so early I think Jake would have had a better game and the panthers could possibly be in the NFCCG but he was terribly off the whole night. And give credit to AZ they definitely had something on Jake. They didn't shut down all of Jakes options he had several guys open on occasion underneath but he chucked it to Smith /Moose in double coverage.

i'm more mad at the coaching/gameplanning than jake and his terrible game. the coaching staff is supposed to put the players in a position to succeed and they blew it. the defensive scheme was terrible. nothing else can be said that hasn't already been said. zone coverage all night instead of shadowing their best offensive threat with our best cover corner leaving fitz open for uncontested receptions while their other probowler was out with an injury. very little pressure giving warner all night to wait for fitz to find the soft spot in our weak zone. when they did bring an extra guy or 2 you could tell it did affect him a little. on offense what the hell happened to the running game? they used it on the 1st drive then pretty much gave up on it. with jake having a bad day, go back to the run, settle everthing down and maybe help him out with quicker, shorter throws to help get his timing back. if that didn't work, GO BACK TO THE RUN to at least keep warner off the field. they went into panic mode way too early.

this:

My level of upset goes like this, with the most upset at the top:

fans that want to get rid of Jake for this bad game.

(his good game/bad game ratio is better than most starting qbs)

Turg hasn't been fired yet.

Defense hasn't played worth a sh*t in months (see above)

secondary leaving Fitz open

Jakes turnovers

Fox's game planning

More upset with Fox and davidson's retarded playcalling. A) if they just stick to the run and commit to it Jake never has the chance to make the turnovers, and B) the offense of the cards stays off the field longer and we eat up time on the run.

Playcalling sucked for this game.

I guess you can say I'm upset with Fox more than anyone or anything else. I think I'm most upset that the season ended in such a horrible way because our coaching staff was too damn ________ (fill in the blank - stubborn; ignorant; arrogant) to game plan properly, change things up EARLY ON that were not working (not waiting until the half), and, a some of you aren't going to like this - not pulling Jake when it was clear AZ had his number.

Nothing against Jake. It's one thing when a QB has a bad day, and Jake certainly had one. It's quite another to just stand there as a coach and not do a damn thing about it. Running the ball more, trying to get the ball to Moose/Jarrett, and/or switching it up with McCown, or even Moore might not have been any better or scored us any more points - but it was worth a shot. I know Fox probably wanted to make a statement that Delhomme was still gonna be his guy, blah blah blah, and that's cool and all - but when a square peg isn't fitting into a round hole, you might wanna try and find a round peg - at least for the remainder of one game.

I can only imagine that Fox felt like that one game wasn't as important in the overall scheme of things than sending a message to Jake (and everyone else) that he was still the man, and had confidence in him. However that works out, that game - and the way it was run - took a lot out of all of us. It took so much out of so many of us, that a 12-5 season pales in comparison to it. And speaking for myself, it certainly shook my faith in Fox's judgment.

I'm not calling for his head just yet, but I know it would definitely improve my faith in him to see him take steps very soon to correct some of the mistakes that not only plagued us in that game, but all season. Namely - get rid of Trgovac, and put a lot more emphasis on getting Jake's backup/successor ready to play.

Damn... I promised myself that I wouldn't get into a rant and rehash what's already been said over ad nauseum on here - but you did ask. Now that it's said... I'm done - and looking forward to seeing some improvement in the offseason.

Delhomme's 6 turnovers or the secondary leaving Fitzgerald wide open all game?

Leaving Fitzgerald open all game for thats not the first time in recent games that that has happened and it's not like they couldn't have done summat to fix it right?

Jake will always have a game like that somewhere in his season. It's part of his make up as a QB.

I am pissed about the poor game calling and preparation. I am pissed about the Panthers as a whole for coming into the game with total lack of emotion. After the end of the first quarter they all looked like a bunch of spanked puppies out there. I am pissed and embarrassed as a Panther fan to see the Cardinals come into our home and totally kick our butts and our coaching staff couldn't find an answer. Yes, Delhomme sucked but if we stuck with our running game like we should have it wouldn't be an issue. Damn it! I should be watching the Panther/Eagle game Sunday!!
