im new to the forum and personally even tho i dont want to see peppers gone its probably going to happen. i see us trading him and gettin a mid 1st rounder and maybe a 3rd rounder which is where we take a qb. but in a lot of mock drafts i see brian orakpo (DE from Texas) going late first round and i think we can nab him

He is at his best playing the back-up role. He got tried at the end of games from playing more snaps and by the end of the season he couldn't hold up too the run.

He was better as a situational player.

Good statistical season, but I don't think it was highest payed player worthy. He doesn't get enough pressure, it seems like its all or nothing. He got single teamed too much.

Salary isn't based on a players skill now a days.

It's based on how valuable that player is to the team.

And Peppers is without a doubt the MVP of the defensive line, so the FO will pay him accordingly.

But when that player wants to play for another team and is an unrestricted free agent it is no use to just throw money at him. Peppers is a one in a million that is not driven by money.
