Don't agree on several points. First of all our DTs were healthy for this game and we had our full rotation in place. What you said might be true against New York and New Orleans but not Arizona.

Secondly, if he can change his scheme to a man coverage and shut them down in the second half, why didn't we do it right away. Analysis of the first Arizona game and the new Orleans game should make it painfully clear that we weren't playing good zone coverage and had lots of blown coverages. Why would he think that all of a sudden we would fix that and it wouldn't be a problem against an all-pro receiver who has burned us repeatedly over the past few years. And DC worth their salt don't play coverages that their players suck in executing. How amny blown coverages do you need to see before you go to another scheme like man coverage with help over the top to ensure their is at least one if not 2 guys on the man. Especially Fitzgerald who they know if the only big time threat on their team.

And when he sees that Boldin doesn't play why not roll constant safety coverage to Fitz's side or use Gamble to cover him where ever he went. We made no adjustments when Fitzgerald lined up over Marshall for example where deep help comes from the linebacker. Why??

They could exploit our defense and found desirable matchups anytime they wanted. We played a vanilla straight up defnse with no new wrinkles or variations in the first half. it was child's play for them to call plays to do whatever they wanted since we didn't disguise or change anything.

What about D line pressure? Did you see many overloads, stunts or attempts to confuse Warner and disguise our looks? Go back and see how many times we put 6 or 7 guys on the line to confuse the offensive line blocking assignments in the first half. We did more of that in the second half and guess what happened? It worked! Why didn't we come out doing it??

That is the problem with Trgovac. He had 2 weeks to prepare and came out with a vanilla base look and coverage which fooled no one and got us abused. When he did make changes it was too little too late.

He IS a bad defensive coordinator who lacks imagination and make too few adjustments too late to make a difference. He blitzes out of desperation rather than design with almost never works at that point. You get beat with checkdowns for example when they know you are blitzing and make adjustments at the line. Teams that blitz successfully blitz when you don't expect it or like Philly jump the obvious checkdown routes and either take them away or intercept the ball. But again they play an aggressive man scheme not a weak passive zone like we do.

I will be hugely surprised if Fitzgerald burns them for 200 yards this week and they will have Boldin playing as well.

This week will give you a great chance to see some great defense and coordinators. 3 of the 4 teams left have the number 1, 2 and 3 ranked defenses in the league. Get back with on Monday and then tell me how Trgo isn't a bad coordinator.
