Forget Moore/Clausen, Let's Talk LaFell/Jarrett

Whenever Matt became QB is when jarrett started playin better because he was also getting alot more throws his way. Jake didn't like throwing the ball to anyone but moose and smitty.

I honestly thought goodson was the 2nd best option. Put him in the slot and jarrett at the 2 bc frankly I think jarrett's hands are just too good to leave on the sideline as well as Goodson being too explosive.

Yet again Jarrett produces on the field and the haters still try to downplay it and want to play a rookie who continues to drop passes over him. I'm sure LaFell will be a better receiver than Jarrett (I mean comon, it's Jarrett) but as of right now I believe Jarrett is the better option.

Dwayne Jarrett and rookie Brandon LaFell each caught two passes Sunday. Steve Smith caught five for 75 yards...Whlie Smitty's number were not all that great,they were still more than the other two receivers combined.

These kind of numbers will not win you many football games....But having said that,i would vote for starting Dwayne Jarrett,while putting Brandon LaFell in on occasions.

I downloaded the game and I seen 2 problems already

1. Jeff calling plays from the booth. Why wasn't he on the field

2. We got Rosario lined up as WR on Shotgun. Gettis or Goodson coulda be much more useful there. Rosario too slow for that position. He gets no type of separation

Was curious of that myself, usually he is down on the sideline so he can talk directly with the players.

This is true, but we went to the SB with a 24-year old Smitty, not a 31 year old Smitty. Big difference there. I'm all for LaFell and Jarrett rotating situationally, and I know there were extenuating circumstances on the Giants defensive packages late in the game that made Jarrett look like an all-pro, but the guy deserves a shot to be in the majority of our 2 WR sets. Maybe it should be more of a 65-35 split favoring Jarrett.

Great hands but gotta use his size as an advantage to keep DB from pushing him off his routes. I notice the routes with cuts or crosses he does well, but running him in a straight go is not his style at all, way too slow

Well, Imma go against all that is holy here on tha huddle and say...I think the WR corp as a whole had a very good game...Jarrett was Jarrett, caught what was thrown his way with the defender on his back and probably in the wrong spot, Lafell was open and dropped ONE pass...not bad, and Smitty was well we all know what Smitty was!

After watching the game 3 times now, gets harder each time mind you, the WR position is really the least of my worries for the season!

I think Jarrett pretty clearly earned the # 2 spot on Sunday, but he's better suited to play in the slot.

^ You may be right, which I was I say start Gettis somebody with speed. But I kinda see why starting Lafell to get him better may be a good idea

Goodson still need to be in there instead of Rosario and not at RB with D.will or Stew on the sideline. That was weird
