Moore "feeling better" after concussion

Panthers coach John Fox said that QB Matt Moore "felt a lot better," after suffering a concussion Sunday afternoon, and would not rule him out of this week's game against Tampa Bay.

Fox was clear when asked if Moore would start if healthy, taking that potential uncertainty out of the question.

Moore was sacked four times and threw three interceptions in the end zone in Sunday's loss. He left late in the game after being drilled by Giants DE Osi Umenyiora, and was replaced by Jimmy Clausen.

rather see Jimmy Clausen play. Seeing matt moore out there reminded me of Jake part 2 during the bad years he was here. Horrible QB play. Bring in the rookie and see what hes got.

For goodness sake. It was one game! What is all this "let's see what Clausen's got" talk? There was a time for Clausen to show what he had, it was called the preseason, and it wasn't enough to supplant Moore.

And starting a rookie QB on a struggling team has gone so well in the past

Besides, what is a good performance against Tampa Bay going to mean? Nothing! Sure all the Clausen jock sniffers are going to wet the bed, but it was friggin Tampa Bay! Anyone could look like Drew Brees against them. It proves nothing. All it does is lead to a QB controversey.

I'd rather start Moore again. If he wins, he can put his rough start behind him and get the boost of confidence he needs to carry him through the season. If he flops against a crappy team, then it's time to start serious Clausen discussions.

You can't judge him by this one game. Give him sometime to find his rhythm. Damn near every team that played this week looked bad. Sunday was like week 5 of the preseason. It's no big deal. Just relax, we still have 15 games left.

That is true, good point there. Wasnt an amazing week at all lol

If he was vomiting and was taken to the ER, Moore will not play this week. And if Gross doesn't start protecting the blind side, Clausen will be vomiting at some point next week also... unless he starts throwing left handed.

It's all part of the plan to eliminate the competition and make Armanti Edwards our starting QB. When all else fails and we lose all hope he steps in and saves the day. They're going to make a movie about it. Half Rudy half Hancock.

I would be careful with how I talk about other teams right now. Just remember; TB 1-0, Panthers 0-1. As a panthers fan, after yesterdays outting, we have no business talking bad about other teams

I'll be incredibly disappointed if he starts considering how hard he was hit, the vomiting concussions. There need to be medically responsible people in the sidelines who recognize that Matt Moore's future (rest of his life) health is more important than a friggin game against Tampa Bay. Hmm... Permanent brain damage or try to look good against the Bucs... Tough call.

I'm thinking the same thing. Everybody is chalking this TB game up as some easy victory. Their D is not as bad as everybody is anticipating. And if our o-line play stays consistant with Sundays performance against the Giants, TB will not be an easy win.
