Davidson's face/palm

There were several times that Moore chose to throw it into triple coverage rather than just throwing it away. That is not the coaches fault.

Once again, read message below.

He wouldn't have to had made that decision in the red zone if we had done what we were good at and ran the ball in for a TD.

I don't think choosing between throwing into triple coverage vs throwing it away in the red zone should be a difficult decision for an NFL QB.

I totally agree that we should have run the ball....but...if you gonna throw don't do it into tripe and quad coverage. Live to the next down and give the team a chance. I was so pissed that Moore did it not once or twice but three times....

I am really starting to question his decision making.

We have had two offensive coordinators during the Fox era.

Both have had the same compliants from fans, commentators, and most likely the team itself.

Who is the common denominator?

it is true, that had Moore not thrown 3 INTs in the redzone things may have been different, but, who knows.

This team is rebuilding mode, what or for what coach they are rebuilding for, I could not say; but, it is very much time for a change when someone like me, can call the play from the stands or the sidelines.

Our O-line, with Otah out, and Gross coming back from injury is not the same either.

Regardless, the buck stops with John Fox. It's time we stopped blaming the coordinators, IMHO.

Well, if John Fox was an offensive guy, or even had his hands on the offense more, I could agree with you.

Facts are, Fox is a defensive guy. He's not the one calling the plays.

Now it is Fox's job to get Davidson to pull his head out of his ass...or replace him.

not only that, I doubt clausen would have made the same mistake. s Clausen is good at getting rid of the ball so it isnt intercepted if need be. better than Moore imo.

While we're on the subject of the great Davidson.

Watching Jake play in preseason, made me think that maybe it is our offensive system that we're running.

Of course, with the o-line playing terrible, it's hard to blame just the system, but the thought isn't going away....and in fact, in my mind, it's gaining momentum.

While it may not be just the system, Davidson can't mix up play calling to save his life.

I believe he is a big part of our offensive issues, and this dates back to previous seasons.

While I agree that Clausen is good at getting rid of the ball....Moore did throw the ball away quite a bit. He made efforts many times to throw the ball away.

Unfortunately, he also made several throws we've never seen him attempt before.

Rather frustrating.

I'm not defending the playcalling by any stretch, but in Davidsons defense our running game wasn't doing poo all game. Our oline has disappeared. If you get rid of that one long run by 34, I'd be surprised if we averaged 2 yards/carry yesterday.

If he would have run it 3 times at the goalline yesterday and gotten stuffed everybody would have been freaking out saying the run obviously wasn't working, why be so vanilla?Yes we would have gotten the FG instead, but just keep things in perspective a little bit.

Exactly, he kept putting 3-4 wide receiver sets out on the field yesterday especially towards the end of the game to try and spread the eight man front out. Obviously didn't work so they tried to throw it. He was just going with what the defense was giving him. Is he the one out on the field executing the plays incorrectly?
