The FACTs we can draw from the game..

Fact: If the power running game is your bread and butter and you refuse to use it for three plays in scoring position, then no one will respect your offense.

Let me phrase that last part better: If the power running game is your bread and butter and you refuse to use it for three plays in scoring position, then you don't have a respect for your own professed strengths.

Give the ball to either of two fantastic, respected, dependable running backs or let a near-rookie QB wing it into the endzone to either a triple covered Steve Smith or one of a handful of "who are these guys" receivers? I'm thinking I'll give the proven warhorses a shot or two.

Call me stupid, but either Williams or Stewart should be able to advance the ball four yards in three tries.

They were flat stoning our run game. The way we were running the ball, we would NOT have scored on three power runs. We were trying to catch them off guard.

Well, if we are going to have a new coach and possibly GM next season they should have some pretty good draft picks to use. Pretty good because the ones we will have should be early in each round after the early rounds that Fox/Hurney have traded away!

this is not a piss and moan- doom and gloom thread- so leave now if thats your deal.. So what are the Facts that we can take away...

FACT: the team is not playoff bound- maybe they sneak in a wild card slot if we improve a lot and get some help (but thats prolly just the Homer in me talking).. this year is more about growing some potential talent for years to come- E.Brown, Hardy, S.Martin, Goodson, Munnerlyn, Lafell, Clausen, etc.

FACT: John Fox will be gone if we dont make a deep playoff run.. and im Now okay with that.. over the offseason, i got in Fox's corner and thought he wasnt as bad as people were saying.. that he actually is a really good coach- but Sunday we all saw the same old- lack of halftime adjustments- predictable playcalling that we have grown to love/hate..

FACT: John Fox and Marty Hurney are attached at the hip.. so if the first 2 Facts are indeed true- we can see the writing on the wall for our organization

so dont be up in arms about the season.. just change your expectations.. this year is going to be an interesting year- no doubt..

These are opinions not facts.

A: I think we ARE playoff bound. We have a few leaks to shore up yes, but all the doom and gloom is way unexpected. Our defense played good- interceptions..some misses. Dont forget our RB's are the best in the league either.

B: Fox MAY not be here next year but if he isnt its because FOX is sick of Richardson and not the other way around and it will be OUR loss as Fox is a genius.

C: Too early to tell what will happen...Richardson has made it clear until the labor negotiations are done he isn't promising money to anyone. I imagine if any of us owned the team we would be doing the same thing.

Fact: Greg Hardy is our most talented and maybe best DE and needs the opportunity to start.

Fact: Jordan Gross is overrated and needs to earn the "elite" title year by year.

Fact: Mike Goodson is a player and you must give him playing time.

Fact: Our offense has no creativity while our defense seems to be able to mix it up.

Fact: Bernadaeux-sp #73 is gonna get somebody hurt, he gets beat frequently.

Fact: A team such as this with less talent should be putting their best players on the field rookie or not!
