this is not a piss and moan- doom and gloom thread- so leave now if thats your deal.. So what are the Facts that we can take away...

FACT: the team is not playoff bound- maybe they sneak in a wild card slot if we improve a lot and get some help (but thats prolly just the Homer in me talking).. this year is more about growing some potential talent for years to come- E.Brown, Hardy, S.Martin, Goodson, Munnerlyn, Lafell, Clausen, etc.

FACT: John Fox will be gone if we dont make a deep playoff run.. and im Now okay with that.. over the offseason, i got in Fox's corner and thought he wasnt as bad as people were saying.. that he actually is a really good coach- but Sunday we all saw the same old- lack of halftime adjustments- predictable playcalling that we have grown to love/hate..

FACT: John Fox and Marty Hurney are attached at the hip.. so if the first 2 Facts are indeed true- we can see the writing on the wall for our organization

so dont be up in arms about the season.. just change your expectations.. this year is going to be an interesting year- no doubt..

Fact: If the power running game is your bread and butter and you refuse to use it for three plays in scoring position, then no one will respect your offense.

i dont think it is so much of the playcalling. i know we are a running teams, but you cant become predictable. just like the announcer said, it cant all be run, run, pass. also contrary to popular belief we did try to run in the second half, we were just getting stuffed. i know most people know that our running game is awesome , but sometimes you are going to get stuffed and game situations are going to dictate what you do as a offense. we are STILL a very one dimensional team.

FACT: The national media could give a rats ass about the Panthers this year. Every other word even when the Panthers were winning was about the Giants.

QFT.

During the Fox pregame show, they had a whole section about "What you might have missed in the off-season".

I don't think they had one sentence about the Panthers losing Delhomme and Peppers, and dropping almost all our older veterans.

I'm starting to feel like Charlotte is going to become the new Detroit.
