Was the Turf a problem for the DB's?

It seemed to me that the DB's yesterday were scared to plant their feet and make moves or hits. They seemed slower than normal when they needed to change direction quickly. Just curious do you think that new turf was just different for them, and on top of it, it was wet. Did they not have the right cleats on or something? Am I just making excuses, or did anyone else notice this?

You are right about.....wait the NY Giants had to play on the same field too. Plus if you look at the end of the 3rd and start of the 4th quarter you will see good old #20 Gamble AVOIDING HITS....Yes.....Taking dives and not the kind that help by hitting the legs of another player. The kind......Oh Crap I might hit someone......I think I will fall down now!

Same thing I said yesterday - they had to play on the same field we did.

When the conditions are wet and slippery, I have always believed the offense is at an advantage just from pure common sense. The offensive plays are drawn up, so they already know where they're going and how they're going to get there on routes. The defense has to react, so they are at a disadvantage.

Thus, it's no coincidence that when it started raining, the better offense pulled away.

Yeah good point!

give a QB and WRs enough chances, and they're eventually going to find someone open, which will then demoralize your DBs into making mistakes.

the biggest problem with our DBs yesterday was time of possession. they never got off the field, because our offense went for a quick 3 and out or interception or fumble.

I agree......time of possession was 34 to 25. not our style.

Pass rush was non existent ether. Looks like our pass rush in preseason was a mirage. The Giants did get away with a lot of holding but so did we.

Basically we failed at a lot yesterday.
