Clearly with Moore out for a week or two we'll probably pick up something to back up Clausen as sans Moore the Panther QB stable has zero NFL starts.

Ramsey, does it really matter who will backup Clausen? If we go there probably not.

Normally I would agree, but in this instance we are playing a lower tier team. And our rookie QB that has a healthy grasp of the offense.

EDIT: Plus it will put butts in the seats, which is always a plus to Richardson.

Most been named. Garcia and McCown would be my first two picks. I was think Mark Brunell was available but he is on the Jets team. Ramsey I think could handle the team for a game or two until Moore returned. But to get someone that might do more than fill in we would have to trade draft picks which I dont want. I just dont want to screw Clausen up so early. Im a firm believer in rookie QB's sitting the first year. If we do end up having to play Clausen I want a small playbook and tight control on what he does. Bring him along slowly.

For this to be true- Why wasn't a veteran already brought in? It seems like to prevent him from actually having to risk playing (like he had to today) this would have been done pre-season. I think he has the tangibles to play better than Moore. I guarantee he will start! Let's just hope he has the pedigree everybody thinks he has.

I had to go to work immediately after the game, I didn't hear that Moore was hurt that badly. Clearly as can be seen from my name and pic I'm on Team Clausen, but I want the team to win first and was excited to have Moore playing as long as we won. If he's really hurt, and after a very unsettling performance today, I'm not sure what to think.

I just hope whoever is under center next week puts forth a much better performance.

Pedigree wont help look at Payton Mannings first season. Clausen doesnt give us the best chance to make the playoffs this year. That is what the season is about. Start Clausen and the season is lost.
