Brandon LaFell sums up game well on Twitter

I wish all of our players loved money so much. I don't know that I've ever seen LaFell tweet about the Panthers. I do see him tweeting about his alma mater pretty frequently, and asking for women to come pick up his son.

Sorry, but I just don't like what I hear from him on Twitter.

i agree. i've noticed the same thing..he NEVER mentioned the panthers even when he was drafted i don't think he tweeted about it.

you people and your high horses, I could understand if it were about making it rain on hoes. But the young man just stated that he was enjoying his money. Professionals can enjoy money and talk about it...all the PC bullshit just takes any bit of character anyone has away.

There's a difference between character and professionalism, maturity and class. To embody them all is rare, and to think that to act like a damn adult removes any individuality is completely ridiculous and makes you sound like a rebellious 12 year old in fifth grade.

Character generally has two qualifiers, good character and bad character. To this point Lafell, based on his outward public projection via twitter and other outlets, falls into the "bad" character section.

Yep, he loves to talk about LSU. The Panthers? Not so much.

Oh wait, he did mention the home opener this weekend:

1st home game 4 #LSU... I know DEATH VALLEY #retarded right now

Oh, he's talking about college football again? Well, he did mention an NFL receiver, at least:

#randymoss at his best

Awesome.

I've noticed the same thing about LaFell and its starting to get to me a little. I know it's Twitter and it's stupid, but come on, man. It's a public forum. You need to be smart. I'm not in the public eye, but I watch what I put on Facebook, Twitter, etc...

I'm not judging the kid and I hope he does great, but it just doesn't look good. Enjoy your money, Brandon... you made it to this level and you deserve it, but just be smart and consider how it looks.

  • 3 weeks later...

From his latest tweet, it would seem Brandon LaFell really wants to learn how to play the game:

Need 2 learn how 2 play dis nba 2k11 on ps3

Just kidding. There was a better tweet earlier today.

Get treatment, watch flim and get better is da plan 2day

If I'm going to clown the guy for his other tweets, I thought I'd at least point out a good one when I see it. I don't know what "Flim" is, though. Probably some crazy movie Rosario and Barnidge are recommending.

They've been that way all along. If you request it, he'll more than likely approve you to read them (as he did with me and all the others making fun of him).

I should make @RealJohnFox account and try to request to follow and see what he does

    • So this has been one of my biggest concerns with Canales and it's the downside of having some young offensive guy who doesn't have full staff control. like what is the org chart for this decision?  With canales, who does he know or has worked with that he can tap? He hasn't been in Seattle in 2 seasons and all those guys are gone anyway. He wasn't even that high up on the org chart in Seattle so it's unclear who he would have regularly interacted with. QB coaches generally aren't going to be in the split squad meetings, at least not regularly. Just glancing at the coaching staff, Clint Hurt jumps out. He was DC in 2022 and is currently the dline coach in Philadelphia, but that team is the brainchild of roseman and i'd be very hesitant to bring in someone who was allowed to walk from seattle and would be having a SUBSTANTIAL decline in talent here in Carolina. With Tampa, that defense is a shambles and fans want Bowles out. It's a very top heavy coaching staff too; Bowles is very involved so there isn't some bright up and comer, from what Bucs fans elsewhere have said. Someone from the Bills maybe? Morgan was last there in 2020. Who could he call? No one established is going to take that position for a few reasons. There very little talent on that side of the ball, so you're not getting the rockstar mercenaries to come here. They're probably going to struggle to bring in some hot up and comer, since anyone with ambition is going to see how Tepper handled evero's request to interview for other positions and not want to deal with that. That's a problem the team has created on its own and I don't know how to fix it until they have someone leave for a promotion, which is going to be difficult with how dogshit this franchise is. And then, any agent is going to tell their client that the Panthers let the whole defense eat poo heading into 2023 just to "give bryce weapons." they let two starters walk and traded away a third. who would want to come in to this? how are you going to build/retain talent? There's only a few logical possibilities from my perspective 1. Someone out of nowhere who just crushes their interview 2. Someone from a good defense promoted WAY earlier than they should be and you just hope for the best 3. Extend Evero. I know a lot of people hate this but I think it's going to be the best option. This is the problem with Canales as coach. I don't want to go into what I think about the offense in this post, today or as it projects, but it's just not going to be easy for him to assemble a staff, if he even has the power to do so. For all we know Morgan is handling all defensive positions and hires. unclear org charts are a hallmark sign of a poorly run organization. I dunno. i think it's lowkey the biggest problem on the team, even moreso than the QB position.
