this thread is funny because where were all the "start DJ" threads during camp? if you look back, they were all "cut DJ" "DJ sucks" blah blah blah, ive been saying he has so much talent and was just never utilized, yeah he may not learn certain things as fast as others but he can flat out catch the ball weather he's open or not, thats y we drafted him so high

I'm surprised Fox is so highly regarded as a head coach, especially considering the severe mental retardation you've brought to light.

By the way, can you give examples of Fox sitting talent behind players whom I guess bought him the nicest gift that week?

I'm guessing Foster -> Willams, Delhomme -> Moore and Practice Squad players -> Jarrett? Because, revisionist history aside, Williams wasn't all that the year he sat behind Foster, playing Delhomme late into the season actually has some reason behind it and Jarrett has yet, in 4 years, to grab the second spot on his own. Going into his 4th season, he plays exactly on par with a third round rookie WR.

what reasons did he have for playing delhomme?

Exactly!! jarret was never going to be a burner or super dominant wr. but he is a good possession receiver with great hands. he doesnt HAVE to be open to catch a ball. he is 6' 4" 210lbs. he is bigger than most dbs he will face. His own recievers coach said that he doesnt have to be open to catch the ball. you know.. the guy that actually works with him on a day to day basis.

the national media doesn't watch us play...they just judge Fox off his W/L column.

How about the 2009 season then for your examples. He sat Martin. He sat Moore. He sat Jarrett. All 3 were better options than Godfrey, Jake, Moose. He was forced to start 2 of those 3......and he was proven to of had the wrong guys in.

again, people bash Jarrett b/c they think Fox not giving him chances proves something about him not being good. Fox has proven late in his career he simply can't manage his roster. When Fox does put Jarrett on the field....HE DOES produce. And again, yes he is slow off the line but he has constiantly made plays when the line allows for plays to develop.

Like CRA said' date=' LaFell noticeably pulled up on the throw that you are referring to Moore overthrowing him. He could have ran out the route hard and tried to go up and make a grab instead he pulled up and let the ball go by. My money is on Dwayne trying to make a leaping grab knowing a hit is coming.....[/quote']

My money would be on Jarrett lining up in the wrong spot and getting jammed at the line and quitting......see how that works?

Jarrett actually showed a spark of life today but saying he is better than Moose is plain stupid. Moose wasn't a world beater last year but he produced. God damn...how do people believe this retarded poo.

so if Jarrett has shown all this great ability but Fox just won't let him play, tell me about all he's done. So far we have:

Two nice catches and a TD against the B-team of New Orleans

Two nice catches in prevent against the Giants today

what else? Tell me about other touchdowns he's scored. You can use preseason, fan day, Madden, visions you received while on peyote, pictures you drew during staff meetings at the waffle house while you were bored, anything.

Jarett catches balls when the D is playing to keep things in front. He is a possesion reciever for God's sake. No game breaking ability whatsoever.

and you know this how?

funny how when dj comes in the game they play a specific defense to ALLOW him to catch the ball!! i never noticed that.

everyone know that dj is not a burner, he runs like a 4.7, but he can be a very effective possession reciever and a redzone threat, a move the chains type of guy. i bet if you look at the percentage of his catches a high number of them go for first downs.

what are your stats to say he sucks, other than your opinion that he doesnt get open? what are his targets vs his drops, how many fumbles does he have, what is his catching percentage? something other than "OMGZ!! FOX DIDNT START HIM!!! HE MUST SUCK!!!

On his 4th year, only one touchdown to show. The other stats are there too, I am just too lazy to look it up for you because if you believe Jarrett is a good player then nothing I say will show it to you anyway. But do not act like the stats are in Jarretts favor. Probally leads the team in lining up in wrong spot, running lazy routes, running wrong routes, pissing off Jesus Steve Smith, getting jammed at LOS, and having the most colorful playbook which is drawn in crayon.

Why is it funny, I've always been a Dwayne Jarrett fan and saying that he hasn't gotten a fair shot here.....

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
