Start Jarrett....

Bullshit. Jarrett had no shot with Moose on the roster of cracking the starting lineup. On Sundays, Jarrett makes plays with a VERY small amount of opportunities....always has. The results is the bottom line stats just don't look good b/c of the few chances he has to make plays. Jarrett has never been given a shot. Today proves that. Even in preseason. How many full series did he get with the first string offense to prove anything? Fox would put him in for one play at a time and yank him.

Right. We drafted him in the 2nd, let go of Keyshawn 8 seconds after the pick all because we wanted to bury him behind Moose.

Fox doesn't play him for a reason. It must be that he just doesn't want us to win.

There was ONE occasion where LaFell cut across the middle and Matt Moore missed him, no way he could of caught that poo. Your blind love of Dwayne Jarrett causes you to make up the most ridiculous bullshit I see on this board. Smith and LaFell each had ONE drop today so I guess Steve has hands of stone too and Jarrett should start over him too. Give me a fuging break.

Kind of blows up the whole, "Jarrett wasn't liked since the get go".

I personally think Fox decided that he hated Jarrett when he signed his contract with an X.

I want a receiver who I can count on to make a catch, LaFell hasn't shown that to this point in his career. It has nothing to do with blind love, it has to do with seeing DJ make plays in the limited opportunities he is given.....oh wait I forgot we're talking about Jarrett so those times he has moved the chains and held onto a ball after taking vicious hits don't mean anything.....

Seriously. All I read on this board is that Jarrett is too slow and dumb to make it in the NFL, but when the ball is thrown to him, more often than not he catches it. LaFell couldn't catch a fuging cold today.

LaFell had one drop... he caught a couple and Moore missed him a couple times, don't throw out some bullshit.

Can't put the blame on Jarrett that Carolina didn't choose to keep any WRs on the roster when he was a drafted as a 20 yr old kid rookie. He wasn't suppose to do anything.

When Carolina picked up Moose he wasn't going to jump him on the depth chart regardless.......explain why Godfrey is our starting S, explain why Jake played so long last year. Fox is an idiot. The Jarrett bashing is based on Fox not playing him.....Fox has been horrific late in his career in Carolina and proving that b/c he starts or sits people means NOTHING in terms of there ability.

What WR made plays today not named Smith? What WR on this roster has made plays in NFL games when given a chance in the past? Jarrett, that is who. His career stats are determined by opportunity. Fact remains, when he is given the chance......he always makes a play. Bash him for being slow off the line all you want, when plays are allowed to develop the games prove he makes plays.

I'm just saying if you are gonna bush a dude don't lie man, you know that was the only play that fit that description so don't say a couple you could say one or a play...keep it real. I understand you have to bash Brandon to rep your boy but don't lie about it and don't pretend that he played like garbage when he didn't. Yeah Dwayne had a couple catches and moved the chains...but this kid did too, he had a nice catch and run and finished it off like a big boy and don't forget him getting PI'd that moves the chains too bud.

that first pass (I think it was the first time Moore went to him).......LaFell eased up going across the middle and made the throw look bad. That is why Moore was pissed....he wasn't pissed at his throw. He was pissed about LaFell going across the middle on the route and not going for it.

Like CRA said, LaFell noticeably pulled up on the throw that you are referring to Moore overthrowing him. He could have ran out the route hard and tried to go up and make a grab instead he pulled up and let the ball go by. My money is on Dwayne trying to make a leaping grab knowing a hit is coming.....

Please give me one reason LaFell should start over Jarrett.

Jarrett has been reliable throughout his entire tenure here.

LaFell has dropped passes, not just today, but throughout the entire duration of Camp and Preseason.

You wanna know why he La-FELL all the way to the 3rd?

Because he was constantly scrutinized coming out of college for having hands of stones.

I'd like to hear one reason he should start over Jarrett.

Oh, and you being an LSU fan doesn't count..

I'm surprised Fox is so highly regarded as a head coach, especially considering the severe mental retardation you've brought to light.

By the way, can you give examples of Fox sitting talent behind players whom I guess bought him the nicest gift that week?

I'm guessing Foster -> Willams, Delhomme -> Moore and Practice Squad players -> Jarrett? Because, revisionist history aside, Williams wasn't all that the year he sat behind Foster, playing Delhomme late into the season actually has some reason behind it and Jarrett has yet, in 4 years, to grab the second spot on his own. Going into his 4th season, he plays exactly on par with a third round rookie WR.
