I remember last year he went inactive for a few games because as a part of him "not getting a chance", he was on the field playing and looked awful. Couldn't even line up right. So maybe Fox didn't give Jarrett enough time to learn the playbook in three years.

I mean, I don't care if he starts, he looked a little bit better than LaFell did, but let's not make two easy catches against prevent into something it's not, or pretend that four years of trying to give this guy a starting job means he never got a chance.

NO. He would have won the job outright it Fox didn't force him to play against pesky fast DB's. Honestly, it is an outrage that Fox didn't have him lined up uncovered every play so that he would be open and could showcase his amazing catching ability.

I mean, think about when he's gotten his catches - two minute drills, where you're not being pressed. think back to last year, think back to when he'd get two catches right before the half and then never be heard from again in a season. Guy works against prevent defenses. So, find a way to create prevent defenses and we're in business.

Jarrett does get open. That is why he always pulls in catches on the rare shots he gets on Sundays. Jarrett is slow off the line.....doesn't mean he he can't get open when plays are allowed to develop.

How can you be sure LaFell would have even caught the ball. I'm sorry if you play receiver you must catch the ball, and that can't exactly be taught. Dwayne Jarrett has the best hands on the team and him only being on the field for 5-6 snaps is just asinine. Prevent or not when he's thrown the ball he makes a catch. I'm pretty confident Dwayne Jarrett would have had the ball where LaFell was interfered with in the endzone, it's not like he was prevented from being able to make an attempt at the catch. But that's ok keep hoping LaFell learns how to consistently catch the ball.....

I agree 100% with ya, and Lafell is awful. Kenny Moore should have been retained and Gettis will get a shot next week. (now that Martin knocked himself out)

Bullshit. Jarrett had no shot with Moose on the roster of cracking the starting lineup. On Sundays, Jarrett makes plays with a VERY small amount of opportunities....always has. The results is the bottom line stats just don't look good b/c of the few chances he has to make plays. Jarrett has never been given a shot. Today proves that. Even in preseason. How many full series did he get with the first string offense to prove anything? Fox would put him in for one play at a time and yank him.
