If Peppers were to be traded....

calvin johnson and the lion's second first round pick to the panthers in exchange for julius and a bag of magic beans

wow. Smith and Calvin lining up on either side.

That'll make Jake Delhomme look like Joe Montana found the fountain of youth and came out of retirement to play for the Panthers.

I predict Peppers will go to Arizona or Houston. Both are playoff quality teams who would have a good defense with his addition. Houston's ist rounder would be more desirable but Arizona could add a few more picks to sweeten it up.

That'd be ironic.

If he's franchised, I say trade him to the Redskins for two first rounders. Parlay those picks into a trade that nets us the Saints entire draft and pick up the best corner available in this year's crop.

(thus finally reversing the Sean Gilbert fiasco)

I'm still leaning towards Houston for their 1st, 2nd and 5th for peppers. They were eying him if he made it to FA(still a possibility that he does), they have the cap to sign him and he likes the area. On top of that not in our conference and we would rarely play him.

so a win - win - win situation for all involved.

Though I still think Williams is a tad overrated, it's true that the combo of Peppers and Williams would make for a ferocious D-Line.

Peppers wants to play for a winner though. Not sure Houston fits that bill (at least not yet).

I think they do, with pep being added, but with one big if. If Shaub stays healthy they are.

Detroit would be my guess. New defensive minded coach who would give up one of his two first rounders this year (20 from Dallas) and his first next season. He can probably turn the number one pick into several more this year.

At 20, we can pick up Micheal Johnson from G Tech.
