I may as well be the 1st 2 say: Moore is NOT the answer

never said i was. just seems to be a lot of crap slung around from those having a different opinion about this.

i made up/am making up my mind about it and i have determined not to let any loyalties to any one player keep me from thinking critically about what would make the team better. those people who are saying that if you criticize moore then you are a fickle fan or not a real panthers fan are who i am referring to as sheep. i choose not to settle for moore if he is less than what we need. i wont back down from wanting more from the QB position than what we have or have had. i'm far from being sold that moore is the answer. i have more questions now than ever. i don't know how there couldn't be.

alot of people seem to overlook the fact that moore hasn't look good in any game this season so far, he was misfiring in preseason & the only game that matters this season. all he did LAST YEAR was prove he deserved the chance to start here(he got it)now it's on him to make the most of it. moore fans might have to accept that he just might not be that good or maybe he can't handle the pressure of being THE MAN& having someone looking over his shoulder, ready to replace him

i do think that he should have a few more weeks to prove/hang himself. by the bye week you should have enough time to know one way or the other. i'm not buying that he's bought himself more time than that, though.

i'm more of the opinion that this season is more about seeing who we (new coach, whatever) can work with in the future than what they can do now. being little more than a big experiment, we might as well hand it over to the guy they drafted high at some point to see if he's better than the guy they hung on to for a couple years and were so confident in they gave him a one year deal.

Does it even matter that we all have some concerns about Moore, albeit, health wise or decision wise when you have the Pro-Bowler Jordon Gross...good ol' #69 FS lovin' JG saying that he, yes Mr. Pro-Bowler Gross, sez he sure is upset with that missed block that caused Mr. Moore his charge, and his QB, to get his clock cleaned? (Src: Bleacher Report 9/16)

Moore has had his doubters long enough for him to know he's not the favorite to get us to the SB, but after his paying "the price" (concussion), could we at least give him the benefit of recouping some of the honors he got EOS 2009?

I totally agree. I don't settle for Moore either. I want Drew Brees right now and won't stop complaining about Moore and anyone else until we sign him. Ignore the fact that there isn't anyone like Brees available right now. Ignore that Moore is the best guy we have at quarterback on the roster. Ignore that Richardson is going to spend money on anyone else. Ignore that we replaced veterans wholesale and have no one but Smith to throw to.

Yeah, I want Brees right now!

Okay maybe I will take Rodgers, Manning, or Brady but that is as low as I am going to go. And if you don't agree with me and Rayzor, you are a sheep!!!!

i was refering to the way people throw how he played in 09 and how that justifies giving him unconditonal support. i agree with you in that we should play all our young players and see what happens, i think you can pretty much pencil in 8-8 or 7-9 but who knows if we catch some breaks we might make the playoffs

Since the new coach will bring in his own players and staff, what Fox does this year could have little to no bearing on what we will do next year if we even have football.

What most of you seem to forget is that our team may look completely different under a new regime and many of the guys who you want to get playing time for the future may not be here at all.

Frankly I want to win now with whoever that takes. At this point that is all there is. We have no idea who will be here next year just like no one could have predicted how many changes this year brought.

I think anyone who hits on his 2009 salvation of a losing season as being his right to "unconditional support" is as foolish as saying that he sucks for having blown 1 RS game. Can we all show a little concern for his health, recovery from bland-ness, and say let's get one for the god-forsaken Pantherdom?

i don't think he sucks or should be pulled because of one game, i also feel that he should sit this week no matter what(his health should be 1# priority). what i am saying is that if moore continues to struggle he should be benched.

Absolutely! I hope that the "suck"ers are few, but this team cannot/should not go through another 8 games of RS play with a QB who can't/won't produce wins. I think that here, we have the best reason, though NOT my favorite for wishing Delhomme might have stayed for one more season as mentor/back up...we lost that 14 or so million anyway, and could have had a ready replacement for Moore.

Your point on the one game sit out sure makes sense to me..."mild" or not, a concussion is nothing to play with one week after impact, and your #1 priority should be theirs too!

Do you really think that Fox would risk the whole season for one game by putting Moore in if he was actually hurt? Our history is being overcautious way before the current guidelines were put in place.

Especially given that most reports say that Fox is gone no matter what and I am sure Fox knows it better than we do. He isn't going to risk a player needlessly.

this is why i dont think he had a concussion.even if it wasnt that severe it happened pretty late in the game.
