Panthers inactives vs. Giants

The Panthers just announced their eight-man inactive list for today's game, and no real surprises on it.

Rookie wide receiver Armanti Edwards was deactivated, meaning he won't be in uniform. That renders last week's Mountaineer package a decoy, designed to give Giants coach Tom Coughlin one more thing to worry about.

Fellow rookie WR David Gettis, DT Nick Hayden and DT Andre Neblett were also deactivated.

Also down were injured RT Jeff Otah, RB Tyrell Sutton, LB Jordan Senn and third QB Tony Pike.

I expect us to pass as well today. The Giants were 32nd against the pass in the preseason. With Sutton on the sidelines and Goodson in, we will run and pass out of the backfield. With a suspect linebacking corps for the Giants, I expect some reverses, screens, and cut back plays all day.
