That United Owner Front is looking great Jerry.

I have read this thread for about two hours, having spent money to get to NJ..and cheer on the Panthers in the friggin' rain, with all the hoopla NYC can heap on a team playing in Jersey and seeing so many "specials" on the New digs I wanna puke.

After two hours I just discovered why so many hate me here...we are talkin' about the season (2010 just so I am clear to my critics) the Panthers just forfeited, owned by a total dork, and may I quote "brain dead" guy who like makes multi-million ( "hundreds" of millions ) dollah by hiring guys for short term employment ( sorta get that for the record ) and somewhere in between, I am reading about quite a few players in the NFL. who may or may not be right for this team.

Now if I got all that apples and oranges routine right, most are saying that we suck because of JR, need some real WR's ( did I not read for a couple of years now about the Jarrett Love Him/hate him syndrome? ) and I just wasted a trip!

I think I am going right out to Dick's in Vineland and gettin' me a Giants cap...and an Eagles Cap...oh, and to be safe a Redskins cap! Screw them friggin' Panthers and the State they came in on!

Apparently your reading comprehension is garbage. Just because I don't agree with his business practices and express my displeasure with how a year has been handled thus far doesn't mean I don't appreciate the owner. Sadly he is off my Christmas Card list and you might be too with that raping of the powerful tool known as sarcasm you just posted.:spam:

If you call throwing a rookie in as a #2, and expecting them to carry the load development. Playing time is not more important than studying time for a WR rookie, it just isn't. And like I said LaFell looks to be the only WR worth developing as of now and even he is just a rookie. There should be A LOT more options than just one (still unknown) rookie to develop at the WR position IMO.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves this year will obviously tell us many things.

I'm sorry man. This makes no sense to me.

And if you dont think Armanti is worth developing then you are wayy off base.

Yep, cause thats how all teams get Superstar receivers. No one drafts and develops them.

I remember thats how we got Smitty in the first place.

under this FO.. that may be the case.. Smitty was drafted before Fox and Hurney.. we haven't drafted ONE quality WR.. so perhaps I missed your point...

when you have 2 quality FA available and you haven't developed ONE WR.. you might want to pull the trigger, especially when the only true promising draft pick we have is LaFell.. unless the switch turns on for Jarrett.. that's a big IF.. one I would rather have seen taken on BM or Bolden..

Everyone complaining that we didn't bring in a BIG FA WR in. Here is the question that I have, what FA WR wanted or even would have come to this team?

I'll answer that with another question.. what one WOULDN'T have?

that's right.. we don't know.. we didn't TRY...

trying never killed anyone and money talks... the kind of money you are going to spend on a #1 receiver anyhow.. so let's not be entirely too cheap here, the money goes regardless- unless of course you want a shitty WR corp like we have now..

I poo you not, if you look back at some of the huddle's mock drafts we have drafted better WR's than the Panthers under Foxy.

How many years did Reid up in Philly draft 1st and 2nd round WR by the boat load all to have none of them pan out until D. Jackson?

boldin via easy trade or housh for a measily $855,000.

that would have been awesome.

no poo.. like Cowherd said, if you get something close to free (whosyamama).. you take it just for the hell of it.. lol

I dont think the difference between SuperBowl or nothing is a veteran #2 receiver...

then I can't take you seriously (if your point is you don't need a #2)... unless of course your point is we have a lot of holes, which then, I just don't agree..

I think our only huge hole IS in fact a solid #2... and we could have had better than "solid" this offseason...

    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
    • In my dream, we somehow luck into a top 2 pick and someone wants a QB bad and doesn’t want anyone else to jump them. Somehow we’ll probably screw up the picks anyway, but it would be nice to do even partially what Chicago did to us. We’d have to lose out, which is a decent possibility unless Tampa is resting. We need Atlanta to stay within a game because Atlanta beat Tampa twice. The rest of the draft slots are who knows because Jax plays the Raiders and then Tennessee and you never know who will rest starters. I think we are top 7 unless we somehow pull out 2 more wins. The 4 win teams have higher SOS and there is only one 5 win team with the same SOS. If we win 1 of 3, we still should stay in top 7. If we lose out and the Jax games work for us, we can easily be top 3.
