Update: Called both numbers back tonight. Both went to voicemail. Number 1's name was "John" but that's all I got from the voicemail.

Number 2's name is Jason DeBruyn and he works for the Lake Norman Enquirer Journal according to his voicemail.

A quick check of their website confirms this. No idea how either of them got my number, knew my name, anything.

Thought about sending an e-mail to the editor of that newspaper. Should I?

Or should I post the numbers here and let you guys have free range?

I did leave a message w/ Jason saying "Jason. I don't know you. I don't know how you got my number. I'd love for you to fill me in. I also wonder how the staff at the Enquirer Journal would feel about their writers acting like you do while attaching your name to their newspaper."

I may be a punk for doing that... but whatever. I'm incredibly tempted to send the managing editor an e-mail and CC him in on it.

And yeah... what amateurs... especially since he put his full name and place of work along with a work telephone number on his cell phone voicemail.

I don't think he's up. There's a very small window of him being awake and actually wanting to do anything; he has mono and is miserable.
