That brings back some memories... I was living with a Cowboys' fan back then, the day before our playoff game he was spouting off at the mouth "Dallas are defending world champs! Aint a team in the league the Cowboys aint beat!" I told him they havent beat Carolina yet. He left in the 3rd qtr of the game. I ran and got a VHS tape and recorded the rest of the 2nd half and kept rewinding so it'd be playin when he got home that night.. '96 was a good year...

i wept. brought back some seriously good memories.

kerry collins giving a crap? hard to remember that happening.

anyway, i think our defense can get back to that dominance this year. i feel good about it. if that team of newbs and items pulled off a scrap heap can do it, surely this one can.

let's get this season started.

Wow..I was only 7 when that went down, and I amazing remember watching the majority of those games. The kevin greene dive into the endzone and michael bates Td's on special teams really brought back some good times. Damn, the panthers have come close three times now...just a matter of time.

how did we get housed by the Packers in the NFC CG??

The better team won. Plain and simple. The tank ran out of gas by the time we reached Green Bay.

BUT one thing I remember, is that the game was played in Green Bay and it was going to be unbelievably cold!! Kevin Green said the weather was nothing, and he wasn't even going to wear a long sleeve shirt under his jersey to keep warm! I don't think every player went along with his idea.

I just remember Kevin on ESPN saying something about it.
