Otah suffered a "mini-setback"

Panthers RT Jeff Otah declared a "mini-setback," in his recovery from knee surgery, admitting he didn't expect to play for a few weeks.

After being held out of practice again, Otah said he thought he'd be back on the practice field in "two or three weeks."

While it's not worst-case scenario for the Panthers, it's hardly what they were hoping for when he went in for an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee on Aug. 4. Then, they were hoping he'd be back by the opener, but now it could push into October.

Otah suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee last December, and said the current problem was an outgrowth of that situation.

He was rehabbing in hopes of playing this weekend when he said his "mini-setback" happened while running.

"I might have pushed myself a little too hard," Otah said.

In his place, the Panthers will start RT Geoff Schwartz, who has taken every snap there with the starters since training camp opened.

OMG WTF IS OUR TRAINING STAFF DOING. SAME THING HAPPENED TO TD

That could be problem. I was happy to hear about TD running 40s but it seemed kind of soon.
