Yep, texting while driving is seriously one of the stupidest things you could do. In between checking in front of you, you've got your eyes off the road for 1-5 seconds at a time. In 5 seconds, at 60 mph, you car travels nearly 500 feet. The length of 1.66 football fields is a long time to have your eyes off the road.

What I was saying was that I don't know if he had enough time to think that. I think he just reacted by swerving but the person behind the wheel was bearing down on them too quickly.

The only time I've ever been in a situation like that it was all automatic fight or flight stuff. Your not really thinking at all during those moments.

For him to have done like they said he would have to be a very good driver and have excellent reaction time.

He may have not done it on purpose, but either way, he lost his life and his family is alive, which is tragic but a great sacrifice whether it be intentional or unintentional.
