(By Darin Gantt, [email protected]) p class=introOne of the best ways to get successful and stay that way is by hitting on your own draft picks, and the Panthers are second-best in the league at that, according to numbers provided by NFL beat writers throughout the league./p p class=introOnly the Green Bay Packers have a higher percentage of their current 53-man roster made up of players they've chosen./p p class=introWhile it's not a certain predictor of success (the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets are doing OK while ranking near the bottom of this category, and Oakland's still a mess despite a lot of picks), the Panthers are among some of the league's most stable teams by virtue of emphasizing the draft./p p class=introIt creates a base of price-controlled labor that doesn't create the year-to-year anxiety of needing to fill holes through free agency./pp/

We did manage to keep a lot of players this year after final cutdowns..which shows they like the guys that they got..last year we had to scramble to find DT help around this time and were making all sorts of adjustments just to get our playing squad.

Either they are just being cheap and don't want to look at the waiver wire..or they really like what we have and have some sort of eye for talent.

In contrast the bills got rid of more then they needed to on cutdown day and shows a team that doesn't like what they saw in training camp..
