I am still waiting to see Jarret on the field with Smitty before passing final judgement. However, he has a lot of impressing to do.

I still think he has the ability to be a solid #2. It is truly all up to him now.

I still think he will have 4-5 catches for 50 or so yards on Sunday.....call me an optimist.

Again, Jarrett's amount of suckage is debateable. I like that our team is built to run the football, but just how "easily" can we run the ball w/o an effective passing game? We're going to see a lot of 8-9 man boxes b/c our passing game (outside of Smith) leaves a lot to be desired. Sunday will be a good test.

If Jarrett is ever going to get a game to shine this is it. Giants have a fairly weak secondary, and Smith will not only be double teamed but might be a little out of the loop. I'm ready to see what this kid can do.

Let's Go Panthers!!!! Almost Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand it either. I mean our second-round pick from three years ago has barely seen the field guys. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

People keep saying this but there is a reason he has not seen the field. Its cause he was not ready and could not beat out Hackett, Moose or Moore. His preseason has not convinced me other wise ether. He is just waiting to get replaced by one of the rookies if he has not already. We waited forever for Colbert and Carter and it seems we will do the same for Jarrett.

With all that said I hope he proves me wrong and has a great year. I really would like for us to find another WR to complement Smith.

I was being sarcastic, and agree with you completely.

It's easy to say he's barely seen the field, but -- like you said -- there's probably a reason for that.

people said, there was a reason Moore didn't see the field last year. He was lazy, didn't know the playbook, not a "team" guy, etc.

I hope he proves people wrong, but don't look for the Giants to worry about him all that much.

Yesterday on WFNZ, Buck talked about him. As some of you know, Buck has been up with the Steelers for their entire camp as part of the NFL's new program (Stephen Davis here). He was in the room with the coaches talking about the Pitt D, and also in the tape room looking at other teams. So yeah, he watched tape on the Panthers. Garcia asked him to talk about it, and say as little as he wanted out of respect to the Steelers. They got to DJ. So, we have a room of coaches watching tape on DJ. The findings? DJ is not an NFL player. He can't get off the line. He can't get separation.

Again, I hope he proves them wrong, but when coaches are saying that about you, and not some armchair QB, it means something.

DJ is a waste. He'll catch a few balls on Sunday, but he won't have any real impact on the outcome of the game. I hope I'm wrong, but his lethargic ass has bummed me out for so long though. Upside is he's still super young, and in a contract year he should be hungry. Maybe his cool new hair will bring out the beast within, and maybe he'll break out...

And maybe I'll find 500,000 dollars at work today...

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
