my only concern is the manner is which Fox/Davidson go to him and try to use him. The favorite play to run to Moose last season was that streak route that always went nowhere. Yet, despite Moose showing he could not get open for it they ran it every week. Jarrett can probably run that one better than Moose however......

Davidson/Fox don't inspire a lot of confidence in regards to playcalling across the board and usage of players.QUOTE]

:iagree:

This statement says it all about the problems with our offense. Square peg, round hole mentality instead of desigining plays that exhibits the strength of the players. It's like watching a high school team offense. And don't be suprised if there's an eery similarity between our preseason, "non-game planning" preseason offense and the one we may see eary on this season. I would love for the Panthers to prove me wrong on Sunday.

If Jarrett underperforms, there will be plenty of Huddle members that will chock it up to Moore not targeting him, or Moore overthrowing him on the few times he does actually throw a ball Jarrett's way.

he better try diving for catches. could've had a preseason TD if he had and succeeded.

lol, diving wouldn't have helped on that throw.

Jarrett does dive. Jarrett is normally so concerned with the catch he puts himself out of position for anything after that....diving, falling, etc. He does whatever to make sure he gets the ball. Normally the play end at the spot of the catch.

No, Moose wasn't secretly a Pro Bowler last year either. He was old and slow and just not a very good WR. Carolina repeatedly played week after week into things he simply couldn't do. Like a specifically mentioned, how many times did they continously throw that streak route to Moose week after week?

That is on Fox/Davidson.

I don't see why there's so much hate...he's barely seen the field. When he has been in the game, he's usually delivered. I seem to remember him making some big catches in a few games on 3rd down. He deserves his shot, but he's definitely on a short leash...

Haha ok. Jarrett is secretly a Pro-Bowler, it's just the offense holding him back.

That's not what I meant. Irregardless of Jarrett's personal issues (maturity, intelligence, etc), Fox/Davidson's playcalling bears some responsibility for the struggles offensively. CRA's last post about Moose said it best. The Panthers need a tailor the offense to showcase what the players do best instead of calling plays that expose our player's weaknesses (e.g. Jarrett's lack of speed).

He's a rookie and has done fine so far. It's hard to expect much out of rookie receivers. Even so, I'd start him over Jarrett if I was the one calling the shots.

Yea only if he could have held onto the ball. I would start Gettis over all of them. No need to even beat around the bush.
