The deputy is dead. As far as Zobelle goes when Gemma was reading the newspaper something tells me that Zobelle is supposed to be on the plane.

He is dead. Apparently, the actor was talking about leaving, so they killed him off to add to the storyline.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he's dead haha they ran over his head and made a point to show that.

But I agree his brother will probably bring in his own way and they may indeed lose that town, who knows.

And Rescue Me has been down since season 3, luckily next year is the end. Still has been a great show. This year was odd, the season finale should have been the 2nd to last episode not the last one.
