He was mediocre in the pre-season. That's the last thing I remember from him. But I agree that he will be the next (full-time) starter for the Panthers. I really think he has the intangibles that Jake has while he is improving the physical tools that Jake is losing.

I'd agree in part. I think it's possible there'll be a brief transition period with McCown in charge (likely one year, two at the most).

I think it'll be an open competition between the two. McCown may have more experience, but he's an int machine. We'll see which one the team responds to the best.

Honestly, with a dominate run game (and better play calling on Davidson in the playoffs), any QB will do well.

I have said it before, I will say it again. When Jake is replaced, Matt Moore will be our QB and he will do very well. I think you all will be shocked to see how he has improved.

I have believed for a good while that McCown is our backup (and the best one we could ask for) while Moore is getting groomed. Smith feels comfortable with him. I think that Dallas may end up kicking themselves for letting him get away before too long. One more season of Romo choking and they are going to killing each other. Having moore become a success here in a couple years would be sweet.

Jake has never looked good in preseason until this year.

I will hold judgement on the whole "he didn't look good in Pre-season" when I know he is behind starters. Otherwise, yeah, of course he didn't look great, he was playing against a 2nd string oline and had 2nd string players.
