Many players last year spoke to Moore's leadership and poise in the pocket. I think there's a good chance he could be a decent quarterback in this league.

The interesting thing is last year I remember more players talking about Basanez. We shall see though!

players don't necessarily improve, but defensive schemes almost always do

unless he's playing a trgo led defense

I have said it before, I will say it again. When Jake is replaced, Matt Moore will be our QB and he will do very well. I think you all will be shocked to see how he has improved.

So please stop with the crazy high priced free agent QB talk.

I'd agree in part. I think it's possible there'll be a brief transition period with McCown in charge (likely one year, two at the most).

Have you met our "QB Coach"? Which QB have actually improved during his tenure? Our staff doesn't exactly place a high premium on developing QBs. Just look at Jake - he hasn't improved for the last 5 years, despite the claims of a stronger arm since his now famous Tommy John surgery. It seems like the coaching staff wants QB that can hand it off better than they can pass it. Moore might be better of playing someplace else.

The first game of the season next year, Jake is the starter and we're down 23-0 at halftime....Matt comes in and replaces Jake and wins the game at the last second with a pass to Jeff King and the Panthers win 24-23 and takes us to the Super Bowl
