I don't see Moore wearing a C...too much risk involved. But for reasons stated above, like a confidence shot in the arm from Fox and a message to the team, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I am doubting Moore gets the C on his chest this season.. it's very plausible that Moore might not be our starting QB halfway through the season.. and I don't see a 'team captain' riding the pine.

My guess would be Gross, Smitty, Beason, Gamble, Kasay.

I remember a certain QB getting a C and then promptly playing one half of football and sitting his ass on the bench for the rest of the year.

not seeing Smitty getting the nod. He plays hard and is a great WR. That is about it...too much off the field stuff. Punches, flag football, etc.

Not sure how credible this is but a wikipedia search of NFL Team Captains shows Jordan Gross as Offensive Captain, Jon Beason as Defensive Captain, and John Kasay as Special Teams Captain.
