Well if we lose Peppers this year, it will be for two first rounders, and I am not sure what team will bite on that. IF we somehow screw someone over for that, depending on the draft positions we pick up, hopefully get a talent to immediately step in for him, which will be our biggest priority if we do lose him.

no one projected right now could fill in for Peppers right away. If they do get rid of Peppers they still need a big FA move to add ability to the DL. Remove Pep and just insert a "good rookie" and our DL will blow. We need a beast at DT to push the inside in order to make average DEs better.

We'll get something similar to what the Allen deal got last year. A first and a couple of third rounders.

Doesn't Taylor seem way too small to be anything more than a situational pass rusher? 6'2 250 is a decent LB size but it's woefully small to be facing 300+ lb linemen every down.

there are quite a few players in the nfl that are around the same size or smaller that go everydown. He just needs to get stronger, thats about it.

No one can replace Peppers. He is an athletic freak. But we can develop a good line by upgrading at DT and bringing in a few DEs who can generate a pass rush. We could also do a much better job disguising our schemes and mixing things up. With or without Peppers we wont be good as long as we keep doing what we are doing.

You would need more then one person too step up if Pep was gone. Plus you need a different D coordination too come up with some new stuff because Johnson, Brayton, or Taylor won't get it done with out a change in Philosophy. Pretty much you can't replace Pep in 1 year. This line will suck next year if he is gone.

We should keep Peppers. I think we should seriously think of using Johnson as the other DE. Johnson had a pretty good season. He could be like Justin tuck were he is good backup one year, amazing starter the next. He had six sacks as a backup. How many could he have if he was a starter. Also why not make Hilee Taylor replace Na'll Diggs and add alittle more speed and Pass rush to that position.
