DirecTV supposedly to offer Sunday Ticket online to non-DirecTV subscribers this year

How sweet?

Well if you sign up for their Premier package you essentially get Sunday Ticket for free for the first year. (You pay only for Sunday Ticket for the first 5 months, no charge for the actual package). After the first 5 months you can then downgrade from the Premier package (which is like 114.99/mo) to any package you want.

So basically they are luring people in with 5 months free of premier (hbo, cinemax, all other premium channels) & NFL ST.

I also found out that Earthlink basically resells TW Cable Internet in my area for a cheaper price. I'm getting a good deal with them for first 6 months (20 bucks a month) then after that around 10-15 dollars cheaper than the comparable standalone TW Cable Price.

So for the next 5-6 months my bill for TV + Internet is cut by a third and I get free NFL ST + Premium Channels. After the 5-6 months and I downgrade I still come out cheaper than my old bill with the added benefit of NFL Network / Big Ten Network (I'm a Michigan fan...costs extra on TW) and the option of adding Sunday Ticket every year if desired.

This of course all assumes DirecTV service is actually good and I have no service/receptions issues or get hit with hidden charges. I didn't like signing a contract, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

$350 is a fugging joke to stream games. (Or on your TV for that matter) No one is going to have 6 monitors going to watch 6 games at once so seing every game every Sunday is BS.

Eventually on TV and online Direct TV needs to offer games ala carte. Millions of Americans would pay $9.99 to watch the game of their choice every Sunday.
