Yeah, I've come to terms with this being the most likely option.

Bears fans all around. :(

There is a spots bar in downtown Chicago off N. Fairbanks and E. Ontario called Timothy O'Tooles. There's a guy that lives above the bar that's a huge Panthers fan. You will see him in O'Tooles on gamedays wearing a blue 89 jersey. I don't know his name but I have watched a few games with him when I'm up there on business. He is a regular so they have the Panther games on for him.

So, I could hook it up to my mom's cable box, and just leave it on? Does the TV have to be on in order for me to watch it? She can handle minimal technological activity, (turning on the TV and changing the channel), but not much beyond that.

She would not need to do anything if you hooked it up to a separate tv that was just for you. You would control everything through the slingbox. You can turn it on and change channels on the tv through the box.

One buddy had it hooked up at his house before his wife relocated to London with him. He used to screw with her by logging on and changing the channel during her favorite shows.

Yeah, ive been at LSU for 3 going on 4 seasons. Ive gone to bars for every game, but one year i watched them online, but its real poor quality. Bars arn't too bad...Saints fans never showed up till last year. I could go to a bar, sit right in front of the best TV's get the game on and even turn up the volume. fwiw
