That rules out your only option. However, I've heard of this device called a slingbox that will retransmit a TV signal to the internet. It's legal. Research it.

Slignbox is awesome.

I have quite a few people who work for me that we relocated to London, where the television is shitty.

They purchased a slingbox for about $150. All you need is to attach the device to a person's TV here is Charlotte...if you have a good friend here. They then purchased a DVR and attached it as well. The slingbox transmits the signal to any computer with an internet connection.

They could actually control the TV through the slingbox. They purchased the DVR because of the time difference to London, so you would not even need this expense.

They said that it worked incredibly well and cost next to nothing...as long as you have someone that will allow you to put a cheap 13 inch TV and a slingbox in their home.

And YES....it is completely legal.

So, I could hook it up to my mom's cable box, and just leave it on? Does the TV have to be on in order for me to watch it? She can handle minimal technological activity, (turning on the TV and changing the channel), but not much beyond that.

NFL should start showing them online. They could make some serious money.

Looks like DirecTV is going to start showing them online to non-DirecTV subscribers this year. I made a thread about it ---> http://www.carolinahuddle.com/forum/carolina-panthers/42911-directv-supposedly-to-offer-sunday-ticket-online-to-non-directv-subscribers-this-year.html#post2646658

Supposedly you have to be a customer who "can't" get satellite otherwise.

They do out of country.

I don't know why they don't in the U.S. but I'm pretty sure I've seen a reason SOMEWHERE on NFL.com before, you can go search for it in the audio/video pass section if you want, it shouldn't be too hard to come across.

probably their agreement with the dish network or somethn. I moved to nyc last summer but found a way to watch games... Not all were great quality
